I had this note today from a priest.
This is also emblematic of the sort of mail I receive all the time. It also shows that there is a demonic side to the perversion of God’s plan and gifts.

I know that we have our disagreements but I need to share this one with you.
Earlier today I spoke with a friend about what the future holds for priests given the situation gay activism. I pointed out that the day isn’t far off when we are served a notice of human rights violation for being unable to officiate at a same-gender “marriage.”
A self-described transvestite emailed me a few months ago and asked if he would be welcomed in our parish. I replied with what one of my colleagues described was a very “understanding, caring response.” (I can share this with you if you wish.)
Only tonight I offered him the following follow-up:
Hello ___,
I hope you are well. This is to follow-up on our previous conversation about your involvement at St _____’s Parish. I’ve been on the lookout for you to introduce yourself to me but I haven’t been able to find you.
How are you liking our parish? Is there anything I can do to assist your spiritual development?

This was his response (WARNING–obscene language):
Are you drunk, sicko get the f*** out of my inbox it’s midnight. You expect me to show up there after you told me I could face discrimination from you flock of subhuman morons? F*** you. You’re lucky you haven’t been served with a human rights notice. F****** Nazi c*** s***** f*****. You know you gotta be pretty f***** naive to believe the filthy b******* you spread. Do the world a favor and go kill yourself. Your f***** family too.

Creepy pedopriest
I have to admit that this left me deeply disturbed. I’m beginning to seriously wonder if there might be a demonic element [YES] to segments of the sexual liberation movement, and now I think I have a glimpse of what people might be thinking when I get hostile looks while wearing my Roman collar in public.
Ask your readers to pray for us. Ugly persecution is coming.

Sad, but I wouldn’t call it persection. Yes, demonically inspired to be certain.
Yes, very unladylike.
Yes, we must pray for this priest, for all priests, and for the Church.
When the “PC” crowd dictates to decent normal human beings that we MUST be tolerant, that tells me one thing for certain.
“When One Tolerates Bad Behavior, One Can Expect Bad Behavior”.
Call me “intolerant” if you will, but I will NOT tolerate Bad Behavior out of anybody. Count on that.
A little slow on the uptake, I'd say.
Anyone that has ever worked around mental patients can tell you what happens when they hear the word ‘No”.
People with mental issues do not like having their individual issue address in any way but complete praise.
The homosexual movement is a mentally ill and hateful thing.
Very adroitly put. No - that is NOT persecution.
I've seen persecution up close and personal, and given the lukewarm and watered-down theology of most of American Christianity - I seriously fear whether or not most professing Christians here will hold onto their faith and endure to the end.
There is a MONSTER difference between head-konwledge and remembering that knowledge and your faith when miserable, sick, starving and being beaten to death and watching those you love being beaten.
Make no mistake - persecution IS coming. The skids for institutionalized persecution IS being laid and then the brutal part kicks in shortly thereafter.
Best part is you don’t have to deal with the ahole anymore. I would welcome any homo sexual to my church if he expresses a desire turn away from he lifestyle. If he wants to flaunt it I will pray for him but that’s about it!!

I would not call it “persection” either.
The traditional institutional religions are unable to either reverse or even resist the flow of history at the moment. Only a return to the root of Torah will release the power to re-create society.
Torahman, we will differ on this, I know, but I would say a return to Christ is what we need.
