I agree that salvation is in three tenses: past, present and future. The past tense is regeneration. We have been saved from the guilt and penalty of sin. The present tense is sanctification. We’re being saved from the habit and dominion of sin. The future tense is glorification. We will saved in the sense of complete conformity to Christ.

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:13-14

No, I caught that part. Are you doing it in "remembrance" or does your organization teach that it is more than that?

That it becomes more than the actual Body and Blood of Christ? No. Does your organization teach the same? This is what Jesus taught.

The Catholic Church claims that Christ is really present in the Eucharist, that the sacrifice of calvary is repeated at every Mass,

That's odd. We have been told by more than one FRoman Catholic that this does not happen.

I guess that is just their interpretation of Roman Catholicism.

DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME

That right there is a key phrase. What did Jesus do? He took the common symbols of life giving sustenance, gave thanks for them, blessed them, and then gave them away. We can and should all do this. When we share our table and the gifts we receive, giving thanks and blessing them to good purpose - this is the true Eucharist. Anyone can make it. The Eucharist we receive at the hands of another has less value to us than it does to the person who makes it and gives it away. The value is in giving thanks and giving it freely. Kind of puts a different spin on "My flesh is true food", doesn't it? True food is my flesh, if you acknowledge where it comes from and aren't selfish with it.

For myself, I believe it is better to try to live and do as Jesus did - clothe the poor, feed the hungry, comfort the sick, share the gifts. Repeating magic words, praying to idols, and bowing down to a class of men who hold that they have unequaled access to the Holy Spirit - not so much.

Glad they don't burn heretics anymore.

Except before Jesus gave it to his disciples he declared "This is my Body" and "This is my Blood." This is God who speaks, the same God who created the world by declaring "Let there be light", etc. The words of God have power and accomplish what they declare.

In John Jesus declares that his Body is true food and his Blood true drink. Saint Paul writes in 1 Corinthians:

For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was handed over, took bread, and, after he had given thanks, broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes. Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord. A person should examine himself, and so eat the bread and drink the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many among you are ill and infirm, and a considerable number are dying. If we discerned ourselves, we would not be under judgment; but since we are judged by [the] Lord, we are being disciplined so that we may not be condemned along with the world. Therefore, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another. If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home, so that your meetings may not result in judgment.
(1 Corinthians 1:23-34)
Notice the last verse which clearly points out that this is not just a communal meal sharing ones food with others. "If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home." No, this is the partaking in the actual Body and Blood of Jesus. This was the belief and practice the Church from the beginning.

He also said “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you - they are full of Spirit and life.”

He also said “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you - they are full of Spirit and life.”

You are assuming, incorrectly, that it must be either/or. It is the Spirit that gives life through the Body and Blood of Jesus. Thus, as you quoted above, Jesus says: "The words I have spoken

Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.
are spirit and life.

To refuse to accept the reality of Real Presence one must isolate the verse you quoted from the rest of Scripture and the practice of the early Church (including Paul) from whom we get the Scriptures.

Proudly “in error” for 2,000 years preaching this “error” to people the world over for 2,000 years. Now that’s some “error”.

“Glad they don’t burn heretics anymore”.

Better watch what you say there. I know plenty that would fry like a crispy critter and it’s not Catholics, who actually believe what Jesus Christ said.

"Proudly “in error” for 2,000 years"

Finally, one you admit it...
