You don't need a priest, or sacraments, or a "church", or a denomination, or charismatic 'gifts' or baptism or hierarchal permission, sanction nor absolution ...

You’re going to shake up the Niceans here, and they are going to label you as a kook. Working in the realm of Yeshua’s Way is not accepted by Niceans.

>> “Asking questions of Catholics is now bullying it seems.” <<

.
That has been pretty much the case here for close to 15 years.

Cult groups are ‘special’ and need protection.

---the Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 198

Catholic belief is succinctly expressed in the profession of faith or credo called the Nicene Creed:

The Nicene Creed

I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
(At the words that follow, up to and including "and became man." all bow.)

and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

How many times does Jesus have to tell you that he is the bread of life, and you still don’t believe him? And you still don’t receive the REAL transubstantiated Communion?

It is strange to me that you take this literal as eating his flesh rather than living by his word but you do not believe some of the other things he said.

Matthew 23
9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

John 14
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Here is one of his commandments
Exodus 20
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Luke 22
14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him

19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

If you want to believe that Jesus was talking about the wine and bread becoming his actual flesh its ok by me but i do not believe that and also believe it was only said for the benefit of the apostles.

But since it was mentioned by Paul i see nothing wrong with it but i do not see it as having anything to do with being saved.

And i do not see it as a commandment to any one other than the twelve..

Catholicism is not a cult. It was here when Christ breathed on the Apostles, giving them the power to bind and forgive sins.

Later in Matthew, he tells them to go out to all the nations and baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Do you forget that Jesus Christ fulfills the Old Testament?

Why is it strange to take this literally when Christ was changing the bread and wine into his Body and Blood at the Last Supper?

Perhaps a better question is “Why don’t you believe the words of Jesus Christ?

I’m chuckling, for it is usually Catholics who ask non-Catholics why THEY take certain parts of the Bible so literally?

I thank God every day that He isn't like us humans. His grace is above and beyond whatever we can muster towards others. Who are we to tell God who He can or cannot save even at the last moments of a person's life? Is God not capable of knowing what is in a person's heart and tell the difference between a trick and a sincere heart?

Those who mock and deride those of us who BELIEVE what God says about His mercy and grace will answer to that same God for why they rejected His grace and presumed He cared more about their works.

The LORD is near unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. (Psalm 34:18)

The LORD is righteous in all His ways And kind in all His deeds. The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them. (Psalm 145:17-19)

The same question applies to you, why don,t you believe what Jesus said about calling no man father?

That statement is so plain that a child can understand it.

But you want me to understand something that is not likely meant to be taken literal.

If you read the Scripture closely on that subject, you will discover that Christ was talking to the Jews. Not Christians or Catholics.

Well, in Mark 7:9-13, Jesus criticizes the Pharisees and scribes for not honoring their “fathers.”

“Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died;
this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die.

I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”
The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us (his) flesh to eat?”

Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.

For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink

Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.
Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me.

This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever.”

These things he said while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum
Then many of his disciples who were listening said, “This saying is hard; who can accept it?”

Since Jesus knew that his disciples were murmuring about this, he said to them, “Does this shock you?

What if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
It is the spirit that gives life, while the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

But there are some of you who do not believe.” Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe and the one who would betray him.
And he said, “For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by my Father.”

As a result of this, many (of) his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him

Jesus then said to the Twelve, “Do you also want to leave?”

Simon Peter answered him, “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God.”
Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you twelve? Yet is not one of you a devil?”

He was referring to Judas, son of Simon the Iscariot; it was he who would betray him, one of the Twelve.” [John 6: 49-71]

If the person does not believe that the Catholic Church is the church that Christ founded, they must “repent and believe.”

The Catholic church is a highjacked, Satanic-decieved version of the church that Christ founded. Beginning around the time of Constantine, when it became the government church.

Catholics can wait until they are baptized if they wish too.

The majority don't have to wait long since they are baptized at about 2 weeks old and have no idea whats going on.

Anti-Christian blasphemy! Christ died for our sins. Period.

He did not found the Catholic Church, he spread the message of salvation. Look how bastardized his saving grace has become by institutions like the RCC.

The Catholic Church is not God!!!

I do need my own interpretation of scripture.

You can rewrite the Bible all day, and you would need a long time to make it say that the Catholic Church as God beget the Catholic Church as son and that the Catholic Church died on the cross for our sins.

The Catholic Church of today bears zero resemblance to anything Jesus preached.

What’s a ‘slew’?

I’ve got 4, only two girls and only one of them gives milk.

I milk her about every two days.

Now you have made the Mormons mad!
