In a debate where did these people get their ideas?
"Planned Parenthood says that 86% of abortions are for babies getting in the way. Surely sounds like "me" or selfishness!!." and
Gay consummation is a sin!!
"Most of you know my feelings as I've stated them on the site already. I don't believe in abortion for birth control. it's just so wrong . I do believe there are special circumstances where abortion is justified.
I know your going to disagree Franny but it's my feelings."
"Also with the gay issue . There are way too many of them for it to be just a freak thing. There born that way. Just as some of us are white some are black some have blue eyes some of us have brown eyes. God doesn't make junk. I think they should have the same benefits rules and regulations as everyone else marriage included. Although I think they should call it civil union instead of marriage because marriage has such a different meaning to so many of us. If God didn't want them here on earth he would not have created them."
"As much as I appreciate your opine I believe abortion is evil and it is evil to the doers and evil to those who look the other way. It comes from an evil person (Sanger) and historically was part of Roman and Greek societies' failures."
"Well said, Eleanor, a woman has the right to make a choice.....heart wrenching as it is. Her body..... her choice.
As Christians we believe there is sin, WE also believe scriptures.
"Romans 1:32/ Who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
Silence against sin is usually the number one method of approval.
Homosexuality is one of the sins of this scripture when read in context. So all those who are "FOR" same gender union and/or are neutral... are just as guilty as those who actually do this sin whether they themselves are in this sin or not. There are churches that actually accept this sin and even place pastors who are in this sin, on the pulpit... all in those congregations, due to their acceptance and/or silence are deserving of death and will receive this upon their judgement by Jesus."
I shoulduh skipped to the last paragraph to see where you were going....
“Also with the gay issue . There are way too many of them for it to be just a freak thing.”
There are approx 100 thousand gay people in U S census. Small compared to the 300 million inhabitants.
“If God didn’t want them here on earth he would not have created them.”
I won’t even go into the numerous ridiculous things that logically result from this statement.
I struggled to find a cohesive message in this post... was there one?
I agree with you. Personally, I believe the percentage of the population said to be homosexual is grossly inflated by the homosexual lobby. I also believe it is a learned behavior, a choice made by the participants, not a natural condition that God had any part in other than he blessed us with free will, how we use it is up to us. Recently my local supermarket hired an openly gay cashier, I don’t know what they were thinking but I am thinking I will be shopping elsewhere. I have a relative who is openly gay and at Christmas he introduced his partner. I am sure his parents were thrilled to see it on Facebook, especially at Christmas. I don’t know what happened as he seemed well adjusted and a good kid, matter of fact one of my favorite nephews. Now as a Christian I am conflicted about how to respond to this news. If anyone has had any experience with this I would take it as a kindness if you have some advice for me.
God also put satan in the Garden.
Every few years, you hear of a new medical "lead" that gayness is a born trait, but nothing ever comes of it.
It gets repeated as fact long enough for some to believe it, but nothing. Then when that rumor starts fading, they start a new "theory".
I couldn’t find one either.
It looks to me like nowhere in particular, and the last paragraph doesn’t get you there any quicker than any other. I can’t quite figure out the reason for the title.
Unfortunately, if this “article” was an essay at most universities, it would most likely get somewhere between a D+ and a B-.

It is only in recent years that we have saw the gay rights movements, how many of them are gay and how many are just stupid, and how many are there in their God hate agenda?
I doubt if i have had any more experience with them than any one else born in the 30s. but God calls it an abomination.
Leviticus 20:13
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination:
It is man that claims all sin is the same.
All though the scripture is not real clear about this, when Paul said we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God he is talking about those sins that are natural to man.
But he also talks about this gay subject.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Romans 1
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Paul uses the word natural use of the woman in this writing
meaning there is a natural use and an unnatural use.
If we start reading in verse 17 we can see why this happened in the days of Sodom and we can see how it is happening today.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Thank God all professors are not this way but we have many that are.
Yes, i do believe that most nonsense comes from those teachers who profess to be wise, :professors:.
As for me i stay away from known gays.

When it comes to sexual orientation, I'm firmly in the Phil Robertson camp - vagina beats anus any day (or night) of the week, so in that regard, I cannot understand homosexual orientation. Having said that, I am a recovering alcoholic who will, by the grace of God, celebrate 10 years of sobriety later this month, so I do know a thing or two about compulsive, self-destructive behaviors. In that regard, alcoholism is in some ways like homosexuality. It is a deviant behavior, and I don't necessarily mean that in the negative connotation of the word, but in the clinical sense that it "deviates" from what is normal behavior. Alcoholism and homosexuality are also similar in that you can get a room full of clinicians, medical doctors, behavioral therapists, addiction specialists, etc. and find plenty of people willing to advocate either the nature or nurture side of the argument.
The problem with having that argument is that either side only serves to justify the behavior. For me as a (recovering) alcoholic, if I would subscribe to the "nature" (i.e. hereditary) side of the argument, I would simply accept that I was born that way, God created me that way, and there was nothing I could do about it, so I might as well simply indulge the compulsion as there would be no point in resisting it.
On the flip side of the coin, if I treat it purely as a learned behavior, it would be all too easy to convince myself that I could "unlearn" it at will should I choose to. When I was in the depth of my drinking and friends or family would approach or confront me and ask if I had a drinking problem or if I was an alcoholic, my response was that I didn't have to drink, I simply enjoyed/preferred being drunk. It was a lie that I told them and myself, (deep inside, I knew I had to drink) and I thought it was a clever rejoinder to a question people seemed to be asking me with increasing frequency. Yet, once I started on the pathway to sobriety and started attending AA on a regular basis, it seemed that virtually every other alcoholic to a man (or woman) had come up with, and employed some variation of that same, "very clever" lie.
Point being, embracing either side of the nature v. nurture debate doesn't help the alcoholic, and I would suspect the same rings true for the homosexual. Only when the matter is dealt with in a third dimension, that is, as a spiritual deficit, can one truly find relief from the compulsion and the behavior. Regardless of whether it's a genetic or learned behavior, my natural will and inclination is to drink, and for the last decade, the only thing that has kept me from doing so is the willingness to subordinate my will to God's will, and I suspect a homosexual that wanted to normalize his or her life would have to take a similar approach.
God picked him up and set him down there?
It doesn't have to be limited to just homosexuality or alcohol. Almost ANYTHING can be come that way for a person. Any addiction.
Drugs, sex, rock and roll. Seriously.
Porn is an addiction, that affects people similarly as a drug. Adultery/fornication.
How many people are in abusive/ co-dependent relationships, that when the relationship is gone, the victim, no matter how bad the relationship, goes through a form of withdrawal.
A thrill seeker/adrenaline junky.
The sports fiend/fan.
The athlete.
The celebrity.
Basically, ANYONE who has allowed someone or something to grip their life in such a way, that they knowingly or unknowingly try to fill a hole in their life, that only God can fill.
I agree with all you say, and indeed, I think that is only one more parallel between homosexuality and alcoholism. As I stated in my original remark, it has to be confronted and dealt with as a spiritual struggle, and while I may not have specifically mentioned the demonic influences, drunkenness, lust (hetero or homo), greed, etc. are all tools in the toolboxes of fallen angels to turn men and women from God. When alcohol was at the center of my life, and my constant obsession, there was little time for God.
