Wow.
Ask away.
You really weren’t looking for guidance on which church to choose to attend. You already had a pretty complete idea what you were looking for.
You win. Congratulations on your success.
We all win.
Just not you. ;)
But my issue was that people werent saying Shes a Mormon it was all Shes a skank, shes a slut things of that nature.
HMMMmmm...
See above
Good to see you FRiend.
I have seen first hand a lot of very ugly commentary and name calling regarding public figures, political enemies, etc.
...I often have the same thought, and have wondered why the adjectives for political opposition doesn’t stop, say, at three hundred or so...would make for better dialogue...
A recent thread about Katy Perry went south after only 1-2 comments.
...if it centered around her latest tune (some ditty referring to a tiger’s eye, I believe) I must admit that it would have gone south far faster had I been involved...I acknowledge we should all try and say something nice, but there are just some things...
I ain't gonna mindread Paul; but it appears to ME that HIS words are pretty clear.
I agree about the women preachers. Although now that I think about it; it may have been because they were women and NOT what or how they were preaching.
(Oh no; Now I've aggravated our Christian ladies of FR!)

According to acts the early Church members were servants in the work of preaching the gospel.
Acts 4 31 through 37 shows where the early Church started.
Acts 5:i through 13 shows the seriousness of becoming a member of the Church.
v 13
And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.
So did all of the believers become members of the Church? i do not think so.
V 14
And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)
Any one can be a believer but being a member of the Church is another thing entirely, they are a servant of the Church, and if they can not completely give their life to the Church they should not be a member of the Church.
1 Tim 5 1 through 8 describes how the Church should treat people in general.
Verses 9 through 16 show some requirements of being or not being an actual member of the Church.
A widow under 60 years old who was also qualified in other ways.
A younger woman and with out those certain qualifications would spend her time being a busybody or looking for a man.
A man or woman who had widows to care for, mothers, aunts or etc was expected to care for their own rather than becoming a member of the Church and giving the care of them to the Church.
These people who had such responsibilities should work to take care of their own rather than becoming a member of the Church so that the Church would take care of them.
These kind of things are what defiles the church.
I sure don,t want to be one who takes part in that.
Your choice can’t be no church.
We already went over it being Jesus’ church.
I can’t help it if nothing aligns with your standards, but your standard is suggesting that the “gates of hell did prevail against it” when Jesus said the “gates of hell will not prevail against it.”
As with most false religions and cults...otherwise they would not get an audience to hear their dribble. Christian terminology is always the "Hook" the enemy of men's souls uses to deceive and entrap people, especially those who have limited familiarity with scripture and those new to the faith...... The words have generally been heard along the way but not yet personal or understood. So as soon as an individual is "ready" to understand you can be certain the enemy will be waiting to bounce!/p>

And they make me just as mad at times.
But honestly, i believe every one has a pretty good point in what they are saying, depending on how well they know scripture.
But it is very hard for people to agree when they are looking at it from two different angles or premises, their minds may be hundreds of miles apart.
If we read a story about some one in a swamp surrounded by alligators we could argue all day about if he was cleaning the swamp or hunting alligators.
I will say he was hunting alligators, ha ha.
Now THIS IS POWERFUL from St Paul!
Gal 5:12
NLT
I just wish that those troublemakers who want to mutilate you by circumcision would mutilate themselves.
NIV
As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!
ESV
I wish those who unsettle you would emasculate themselves!
