The Christian faith has not been tried and found wanting. It has rather been found difficult and left untried. Chesterton
I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending. The story of Jesus is either the greatest event in history or the cruelest hoax. If it is a hoax, then the whole of the Christian message crumbles together with the hopes of those multitudes of lives built on his name. The apostle Paul said:
And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up; if in fact the dead do not rise. For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. -1 Corinthians 15:14-19 (NKJV)
But if the story is true, then this world has been hit with extraordinary news of earth-shaking consequences. Have you taken the trouble to decide which it is?
In a matter this weighty, it is in your interest to explore the truth or falsity of Christ's claims. Amazingly however, many people who don't believe have never bothered to explore the evidence in support of Jesus,[1] but to the contrary, often run away from it. At the same time, many Christians themselves are not sure, at bottom, whether the claims of their faith are solid. Is the Christian claim a hoax? Is it just wishful thinking? Or is it actually true?

Now you know why I go by my FR screen name. I’ve been this way for quite a while and don’t plan to reverse it except maybe after I take my last breath.
It is easy to come to a wrong conclusion if you start with a wrong premise.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gyromitra_esculenta
Although potentially fatal if eaten raw, Gyromitra esculenta is a popular delicacy in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, and the upper Great Lakes region of North America. Although popular in some districts of the eastern Pyrenees, it is prohibited from sale to the public in Spain. It may be sold fresh in Finland, but it must be accompanied by warnings and instructions on correct preparation.
Although it is still commonly parboiled before preparation, recent evidence suggests that even this procedure may not make the fungus entirely safe,[1] thus raising concerns of risk even when prepared properly. When consumed, the false morel’s principal active agent, gyromitrin, is hydrolyzed into the toxic compound monomethylhydrazine (MMH). The toxin affects the liver, central nervous system, and sometimes the kidneys. Symptoms of poisoning involve vomiting and diarrhea several hours after consumption, followed by dizziness, lethargy and headache. Severe cases may lead to delirium, coma and death after 57 days.
Jesus is the Son of God? Jesus is then like God but not the Creator. A thought from a. Follower of Jesus.
And how did you come to that conclusion? He certainly had powers to raise the dead (Lazarus). He was able to lay His life down and arise again. What more proof do you need He had the power to create?
Merry Christmas.
I’m with you brother. Jesus is who he says he is, and how great that is for us! I always think of the song Amazing Grace on articles like this. One of my most favourite songs ever.
That is correct, and Christians of today have used systematics and untrue translations to make him a God, when truly there is only one God, his father...whom he obviously stated was the one in charge and to whom he did the will of. There is a present day apostasy that denies the very obvious and only the most gullible of Christians are willing to fall for it. Very sad.
Yes.
6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
“And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
by whom? God or man?
The saved.
John 1:1-3
Jesus said...”I am that I am” a direct reference to the God of Moses at the burning bush....
He proved it by an empty grave...
Can you disprove he isn’t God...?
Okay, so far so good. You’ve not swayed the jury one way or the other on the question at hand.
I agree with the verse but a follow-up is needed as to what you think that means as far as to whether the Creator was Jesus (the Son of God) or God the Father.
YES.............AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you post those scriptures please?
Philippians 2:5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
6.Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7.rather, he made himself nothing (NIV)
Can you post those scriptures please?
Colossians 1:15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.
17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.
19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,
20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
