****Honestly, for the life of me, I cannot figure out what goes on in the minds of Catholics when they leap to such conclusions about others. ****

Kettle meet pot. lol

Honestly after reading these last couple of posts from you, I thank God that I am not one of your babies and will certainly pray for those who are.

Budding? How about each child has 26 Chromosomes from their mother and 26 from their father, so yes, they are part of their mother and their father.

Christ had ALL OF HIS from his mother.

Why do you suppose Simeon said that a sword would pierce her heart?

Cutting REAL flesh and shedding REAL blood - or a metaphor?

Not to be nit-picky, but there are 23 pairs of chromosomes in a human cell.

In humans, each cell normally contains 23 pairs of chromosomes, for a total of 46. Twenty-two of these pairs, called autosomes, look the same in both males and females. The 23rd pair, the sex chromosomes, differ between males and females. Females have two copies of the X chromosome, while males have one X and one Y chromosome. (http://ghr.nlm.nih.gov/handbook/basics/howmanychromosomes

Did you get that last point? If Jesus got ALL OF HIS (chromosomes) from his mother, then, because the woman has two copies of the X sex chromosome and a male offspring HAD to have gotten the Y chromosome from someone other than his mother, you cannot say that Jesus came ONLY from Mary's body. We don't really know exactly how Jesus became implanted in Mary's womb, but we DO know it was not from normal procreation.

BTW...that snide and un-Christ like comment about Metmom's children was uncalled for. I think you owe HER an apology.

>> Christ had ALL OF HIS from his mother.<<

Would you please prove that either scripturally (book, chapter and verse please) or scientifically? Citing the scientific research on Jesus DNA would suffice.
