Wife just got a phone call with horrible news from niece in Bombay.

Ceiling collapsed in multi-story apartment building in the middle of the night. Very poor area.

Wife's older sister currently is semi-conscious and bleeding. There seems to be no emergency service who will pick her up and family has no vehicle. The next few hours would seem to be critical.

The sister, Margaret, was practically a saint in helping raise my wife as a child. A wonderful person.

Prayers badly needed. Thank you.

Heavenly Father, please send an Angel to watch over our Sister Margaret in Bombay and comfort her. Please Watch over her loved ones there as well and provide a Miracle for them. We ask for this Miracle in the Name of The Father and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit, Amen.

Thank you most sincerely to those who have added prayers overnight for my wife’s sister. My wife Martha is still sound asleep here on the west coast after the stress and I haven’t heard the phone ring so thankfully no new surprises in Bombay.

While Martha and Margaret were growing up in the convent the Mass and sacraments were still the “old way” — just the tail end of it, I guess.

Many of the nuns from the convent are passed on now but a few that they knew are still living.

Thank you very much. No updates since #84 — nighttime now and the niece would call if any real change in status occurred. The prayers are still good as we want to make it out of the neurological “danger zone”.

BTW, that niece — about 24 YO — is a real self starter with her own hair styling business and sales endeavors. These don’t pay much but she is always on the lookout for new business opportunities. No welfare there — no choice but to work and you might as well do a productive job of it.
