This is the heresy of Monophysitism (5th Century)
Monophysitism originated as a reaction to Nestorianism. The Monophysites (led by a man named Eutyches) were horrified by Nestorius’s implication that Christ was two people with two different natures (human and divine). They went to the other extreme, claiming that Christ was one person with only one nature (a fusion of human and divine elements). They are thus known as Monophysites because of their claim that Christ had only one nature (Greek: mono = one; physis = nature).
Orthodox Catholic theologians recognized that Monophysitism was as bad as Nestorianism because it denied Christ’s full humanity and full divinity. If Christ did not have a fully human nature, then he would not be fully human, and if he did not have a fully divine nature then he was not fully divine.

Well, when you consider that many self-describe “christians” in these heretical sects (Episcopal, ELCA, United Methodists, etc.) often deny the historicity of the actual man Jesus, deny His virgin birth, deny His deity and deny His sinlessness, what else can they not claim?

Re: ECUSA
First I read the howlers from Bishop Spong when I lived in New Jersey. Then we know about Bishop Vickie Gene Robinson. Now this, outright denying the divinity of Christ, and just about denying the existence of God. The ECUSA is spiritually DEAD. Ichabod!
A church founded by the decadent heretic Henry VIII will wither and collapse. The majority of the Episcopal clergy are agnostic and hypocritical.
The ruling party denied God three times on camera and on mic... and then was elected to the presidency.

THEISM
Belief in a personal and provident God. It may, however, take on different forms, notably monotheism (one God), polytheism (several gods), or henotheism (one chief god among several). theism is commonly distinguished fromatheism, which denies the existence of a personal, transcendent deity. (Etym. Greek theos, god.)
Non-theistic Christian
Oxymoron if I ever heard one.
Non theistic — don’t believe in God
Christian — believe in Christ, true God and true man.
A living example of Romans 1:18-32
18 But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness.[i] 19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. This man is hellbound.
