I will be going up to a hospital in Portland, Thursday morning at 9:15 for what they call a ECV, Electrocardioversion. They put me out for 30 seconds and shock my heart, hopefully back into a normal rhythm. They have told me I should be on my way back home in four hours.
I've been dealing with atrial-fib and atrial flutter for several years. Hopefully this procedure will help me to feel 100 percent better.
I went through a femoral ablation several years ago which worked until this year, when one day I started coughing and sneezing and went back into A-fib.

I laid on the gurney in the hospital reading my Mother Teresa book, and now and then opening it to say the St. Bridget prayers that I say daily.
It was also great to spend time with my daughter who drove me to and from the hospital and waited and waited.
