When confronted with extravagant, Gosnell-like, Boston-like evil, we should pray that the perpetrators of evil would feel the sword of Gods justice. We should also pray that the wicked men and women involved would experience the incredible, life-changing, sin-forgiving mercy of God.

with my fingers crossed?
I am sorry, but I have better things to pray for than mercy for a baby killing piece of slime.
Jesus Christ is in charge of mercy and I have no intention of trying to sway his Justice for this monster.
I can’t pray for satan.
Historically, the Catholic church produced some very elaborate “demonologies”, as guides for the recognition and identification of demons. Some of these are quite long, and list hundreds of mostly major demons.
However, what a demon is, and how they became demons is less certain. Some of course were fallen angels of various calibers; implied is that some of them at some point either took human form, or were evolved from humans by their choosing a demonic path.
A say this as preface to asking the question: “At what point does prayer for either an existing demon, or a formative demon, become futile?”
God may forgive him. We shouldn’t.
After all, humans are inherently imperfect. We’re just acting according to our job description.
Dear Lord Jesus, please enlighten the jury so the might convict him. We pray also that he might repent of his sins. We also hope the jury will prevent him from doing any more evil.
Amen.
The best I can do is say, “God have mercy.”
I got into it during Bible study with my Liberal Pastor a few months ago when he implied that we should pray for those who profess Islam as their religon when they do bad things. I told him the Lord asked me to pray for my enemies but told me to fight evil.I refuse to pray for someone so evil they would strap a bomb on an innocent child and send them into a crowded market; then detonate the bomb. This man (and his helpers)was and is evil. I will pray he burns in hell.

Preferably, with your hands folded.
I only pray for eternal punishment for them
The only prayer I can pray here is the same one I pray for Obama: Psalm 109:8
