In a segment titled “God and Hitler,” Gordon Robertson (son of Rev. Pat Robertson), hosted a discussion on the Catholic Church’s response to Hitler. Several errors of fact were made.
1) It is wrong to paint Hitler as a Catholic. Though he was baptized, he excommunicated himself, latae sententiae, when he sought, in his words, to “crush [the Catholic Church] like a toad.” He made good on his pledge by persecuting 8,000 priests, over 500 of whom were killed in concentration camps. He also sought to assassinate the pope.
2) The 1933 Nazi-Vatican Concordat was not a show of solidarity. As Rabbi David Dalin has shown, it was a protective measure designed to protect German Catholics from persecution. In fact, at least 34 letters of protest were sent from the Vatican to the Nazis between 1933 and 1937, culminating in a 1937 encyclical that condemned Nazi violations of the Concordat and its racial ideology. It was smuggled out of Italy and distributed on Palm Sunday to Catholics in Germany. Nothing like this happened in Protestant churches in Germany.
3) It is not true that Hitler met resistance from Protestants alone. There are 800,000 trees planted in Israel that represent the 800,000 Jews saved by the Catholic Church. None have been planted as a tribute to Protestants. During the war, the New York Times twice said the Church was “a lonely voice crying out of the silence of a continent”; Albert Einstein also singled out the Church during the war. After the war, Golda Meir praised the work of the Church, as did the ADL, the World Jewish Congress, and scores of other Jewish organizations.
4) It is factually wrong to say the Vatican archives have “never been seen.” Many scholars have had access. As for Pope Pius XII being “Hitler’s Pope,” it should be noted that John Cornwell, the ex-seminarian who originated this term, retracted it years ago. So why does “The 700 Club” continue to cite it?
Actually, my primary assignment as a catechist is catechizing those in Faith Formation who are converting to Catholicism.

Show us in Scripture where it says that God dwells and abides in all of us.
His letters are weighty and strong to them because Paul was 'hot' for The Lord. "So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth."
His bodily presence was weak because of what he was commanded and then, choose to do - speaking Truth throughout nations - he was beaten, jailed and left to die. Evil hates Truth. There is a price to pay for following JESUS but THE REWARD is priceless - so it becomes a gift to us.

Paul hit it out of the park, again, with those words.
It is absolutely bizarre to presume evil wasn't since the beginning and satan 'used' his words to oppose what God said. And then sin entered in because they believed 'another' - and then The Word came in the flesh.
Then JESUS started HIS Church based on HIS WORD because Jesus is The Word and gave His Church His Spirit as Teacher, lest they be deceived by 'man'. So then the counterfeit wanting to keep his hold on people, he used 'man made words' to 'organize' his counterfeit churches and he has many and they all claim 'they' are the one that is true. So there are many flavors to please man.
GOD'S WORD is the FINAL Authority and JESUS is The Way, The Truth, The LIFE and no one goes to The Father except through Jesus The Word. 'Man made teaching' believers, man brings them to their father of darkness and death.
That is an apt description of those who reject the Church founded by Jesus. Do you mind if I use it?

Careful.Not every spirit is holy.
Why? It seems that when someone continually posts comments on a thread, and ends it with 'peace on you", it is making it obvious who wants attention. I see it often, but by only a few.
It seems someone is making a pretentious attempt at being pious, or so it appears to this casual observer.
It seldom fool anybody, but when "thou doth protest too much"... it becomes more clear.

It's a apt description of those who are 'anti-Word' and have chosen to believe 'man made teachings' instead. And the church Jesus started as HE being the Head of His Body/His Church is based on HIS Word Alone and HE is the ROCK of our salvation - as HE died for man.
You can use 'anti-Word' as it has less letters for you to type. Now since I said 'you' don't run off to the moderator implying - while being prideful - that I'm making this thread about you. There is always a clamoring for attention when TRUTH appears to be getting too much attention.
Peace comes from God and His peace lives within me. Jesus was anointed of God to bestow peace - so only the anointed of God can bestow His peace as it comes from Him within. And the anointed of God believe GOD'S WORD Alone as IT Alone is The Final Authority and any word, any one or anything else is counterfeit - and, thus, has no power.
I have no reason to complain since 'Anti-Word' is clearly not referring to the Church actually begun by the Word or it's adherents. Anyone who would suggest otherwise is either ignorant, an idiot, or evil and surely there are no such persons in this forum.

Yes it is and what catholics refer to as the church - which is the RCC/Roman Counterfeit Church with it's 'man made teachings' that are evil as they were designed to simply oppose God's Word.
Someone would have to be deceived not to know satan opposes God's Word as he did in the beginning (Gen) and still does it now and throughout all his many 'man made teaching' churches - such as catholicism, mormonism, JW's, muslim mosques. All different flavors for his pawns to feast on. He's going down hard, fast and soon and wants to bring as many as he can with him. He doesn't care who - any piece of flesh is just a pawn to him. But God cares for all, as HE died for all. Yet, deceived man clings to evil and defends evil/man made teachings. Deception works and it is his only weapon since the beginning.
God's Word reigns - It always was and always will be. His Word holds His universe together. MIGHTY GOD, The ALMIGHTY GOD - THE 'I AM'.
I remember from a few years back - catholics made threads about you, metmom, on that very thing. It didn't work the few hundred posts they tried it, wonder what makes anyone think it will work this time around.

Hmmm. Now I forgot about those crevo threads as I only stumbled on them and couldn't believe the filthy that spew from some of those posts. And God created man He did so from the slime of the earth and breathed his likeness and image into us is a perfect example of that filth coming from evil.

And yet the religious and religious leaders of today are just as blind to it as the Pharisees.
When someone’s knee jerk response is to say *That’s not me (us).* it’s an immediate indication that it is.
What they should be saying is *Oh. Could that be me (us)?* and do some serious introspection.
It’s pretty obvious what’s in a person heart by what sets them off and what they get personally defensive about. People most dislike in others what their own faults are.
You just completely ignore 326 and 327 and prattle on about other stuff.
Evidently, Catholicism (or at least ONE of it's followers) can explain nothing...
