Aspects of today’s Easter celebration are undoubtedly the result of the secular commercializaton of Easter after many decades. It’s hard to guess how the non-biblical searh for colored eggs originated imo.

Easter is a replacement for the annual holy day of Passover which the Lord Jesus Christ created, kept, and told his followers to keep...

Easter eggs are a Christian tradition derived from people not eating eggs during Lent. They would have eggs left to eat on Easter, and eventually they started coloring them etc.

So you’re saying Jesus and the Apostles didn’t hide Easter eggs and find them? Then that means this Easter business is some sort of hoax on the Christian community with Easter being a false fertility god and eggs and rabbits being signs of pagan fertility rites. I knew there was something hokey about the whole deal.

easter eggs, where a chicken emerges from an egg (that looks like a dead rock), represents Jesus coming from the tomb (a dead rock)...

Bunnies emerge from the ground in the spring, similarly a symbol of Christ’s resurrection.

Secularization is because the “secular city” of America tried to destroy the old fashioned Catholic celebration of God in these things, so people don’t reconize what they mean.
