Nope, anyone that left finger prints on the article if death, never deserve a seat at the same table with those who affirm life.
Yeah but you'd lose the chance to create scandal.
I have a question for you or any of the orthodox Catholics here. Since these dissidents (sorry, I have trouble calling them Catholics) are officially representing the US government on this trip, does Cardinal Wuerl, as abp of Washington DC, have the authority to instruct them not to present themselves for Holy Communion? Or does this request have to come from the politicians' home dioceses?
Sorry, I guess more than one question. If it must come from their home diocese, then do any of the cardinals present in Rome have authority over Biden or Pelosi's home bishop and therefore have the authority to instruct them not to present themselves for communion?
The potential for scandal is so very apparent. And the powers that be are concentrated where the dissidents will be. Is there nothing that can be done to address this before the installation Mass?
I'd love to hear our new Holy Father look over to the assembled political delegates and instruct them himself. But it seems, well, not right that it'd have to come to that when all the cardinals are there and will surely be meeting with the US delegates at some point anyway. I seem to remember that at John Paul's funeral the cardinals actually escorted the delegates to their seats. How scandalous if they do that without instructing them to STAY in their seats during communion!
