It could have been ANYONE other than Romney winning; and you'd have been happy.

Methinks you misunderstood the reaction last night. I've posted with these various FReepers for years and don't see any of them as being of such fragile character as being easily offended or threatened.
We defend the truth here at FR, the truth as found in the Word of God, the Bible. We're WARNING you that you are not in agreement or alignment with that truth.
Everyone is on their own spiritual path and has in freedom come to realize their own truths regarding God in their lifetimes.
That SOUNDS all nice and tolerant but is general and vague enough as to be meaningless.
There is only one way, and that is Jesus, and there is only one source of truth and that is Scripture, which is the same truth for ALL because it comes from God who IS truth, and He doesn't change.
In the New Church, we are free to follow our own spiritual paths and can accept or reject anything we want to.
Spiritually dangerous ground to be on. You cannot reject the truth of Scripture, which, BTW, I see virtually NO mention of. It's all about Swedenborg's teachings and visions and *the New Church*.
You are following a false teaching. If it doesn't line up with Scripture, it's from the devil. You are on very dangerous ground spiritually and that is not because I *feel threatened*, but it's a warning to you to take heed, for your own good. The fact that this teaching led you to the point of thinking yourself to be the messiah attests to that.

Mitt’s loss means a pile of RINOs and holier-than-thou types stayed home and didn’t bother to vote. Also anti Mormons and anti MormonISM folk.
Besides, I believe the vote was rigged. It doesn’t matter who votes; what matters is who counts the votes. Democrat secretaries of state could, by the push of a button, screw up the entire vote count. Statisticians can do it, too - just by a little tweek here and little tweek there.
Our country has gone to the dogs. And your constant harping against Mormons and our faith does not help, especially when the Rev. Billy Graham has shown a higher way to go.
I’m a Mormon woman and I haven’t a clue on earth what the anti Mormons/anti MormonISM folk on this site are talking about. Like Catholics, women do not hold the Priesthood in our Church. I have no desire to hold the Priesthood - too much work and responsibility. I have enough to do to work and fulfill my callings. By the way, there is no paid clergy in my Church.
My son bought one of their books that claimed Mormons are cultists. You can buy one, too, and hundreds of anti Mormon/anti MormonISM literature, etc. But the fact remains that Jesus died for Mormons, too. My son sees by my life that I am not a member of a cult. In fact, the very idea makes me laugh.
If you want to be a Priest, you can join the Anglican or Episcopalian Church. You can even be a gay or lesbian clergy in other churches. Whatever. Makes no difference to me. Remember, we Mormons stood side-by-side with Evangelicals and Catholics and Jews to protest abortion and gay marriage. It kind of hurt a little after we helped pass Prop 8 in CA when some of the other so-called Christians turned on us.
This morning in my Ward, a newly married couple gave talks. We take turns and no one gets paid. No passing of the plate! We tithe, yes, and I have no idea why that makes some people so darn mad; they see red!
We love our Savior Jesus Christ. He suffered and died for us all.
I have no idea why the anti Mormons on this site invest so much time and effort in trashing my Church. Oh, yes, I do; many of them depend on anti Mormon business - books, tapes, DVDs, speaking engagements, etc., to make their living.
There is no excluded middle. The choices (the realistic ones) for President were Romney and Obama.

Again, my belief is there is ONE God of heaven and earth who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit: Jesus Christ. Three 'persons' is not Scriptural. You need to quote me verses for the rest or I'll just have to assume that's a personal opinion.

But that is not the reality of the situation we faced. We had Romney and Obama as the only serious contenders for the Presidency. While I am not a Mormon, do not believe their tenets, and find much of it quite odd... it is nowhere as threatening to me as Communism, Islam, the destruction of Israel, the destruction of the Second Amendment, and etcetera.
You have stated you are happy the Mormon, Romney, did not win.
I feel -- given that you are a participant on a conservative forum -- that this is an indication that you need therapy on the issue of Mormonism. That you hate it more than the results of another Obama term, shows a deepseated problem.
It is akin to a KKK member who, watching his house burn down, stops the firefighters from fighting the fire.... because a few of the crew are black men.

Wow! Luckily metmom is not our final Judge! I don’t much like mere human beings going around condemning folks to hell.
Remember, the Rev. Billy Graham does not act like that. He entertained Mitt Romney and Glenn Beck, at different times, in his home. He supped with them. He discussed issues with them. He did not condemn them to hell.
I think the anti Mormons/anti MormonISM folk on this site would do well to tone down their condemning voices.
I am studying the New Testament. Jesus tells many parables to help us get along better with each other and in life. He came down on the Pharisees for being snooty and creepy. He never condemned the little people like me.

How would these posters react, if they were in a car wreck and learned that some of the EMTs, ER staff, the surgical team and trauma surgeons were Mormon.
