Most of will say... YES - of course! If we're a Christian, we want to be very ready to share the good news. If you're not then this is the most important thing you can find out. Either way, I encourage you to read below...
Most of us think that if we stay on the straight and narrow we just might make it though those pearly gates. Sadly most people dont know exactly how to be saved. The majority of people overall believe they will be in heaven when they die someday because they strive to be a good person. We are all born into this world with a sin nature and our life needs to be changed. (Romans 3:23) No amount of good works will allow you to spend eternity with God unless you give your heart to Him. (Ephesians 2:8-9) You must believe that God sent His son Jesus to pay the penalty for your sins. John 3:16. Jesus Christ loved you so much that He suffered unimaginable cruelty, mockery, humiliation, and death on the cross. He rose from the dead on the 3rd day. He subjected Himself willingly for you and me so we could have eternal life. God the Father wants a relationship with you. You dont need to understand it all right this moment. Will you put your faith in Him and Him alone? Please do not put this off. If you feel that God is calling you to come to Him then these two prayers below could be a good example of how to talk/pray to Him... (please proceed using link to full article - as this is an excerpt)

Please stop. That verse has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with how men are justified.
You are conflating the results of justification with justification itself. A man who has been regenerated by God will have good works, but those good works are the result of what God already did for him. Good works never cannot save any man.
While you work your way to heaven, I’m resting in Christ. I hope you aren’t instructing others in the faith.
“Please stop. That verse has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with how men are justified.”
James 2:23-24
23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
Luke 6:46-49
46 But why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and not do the things which I say? 47 Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: 48 He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.[h] 49 But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell.[i] And the ruin of that house was great.
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall No flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law (is) knowledge of sin (Romans 3:20)
Agreed....! The “old law” Paul was talking about here could justify no one, that’s why that covenant was made obselete and replaced with a “new law” or covenant.
Jer. 31:30-32
31Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them,[a] says the Lord.
Matt. 26:27-29
27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the new[a] covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Fathers kingdom.
2 Cor. 3:6-7
6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit;[a] for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
Heb.8:12-13
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds[a] I will remember no more.[b]13 In that He says, A new covenant, He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
Hebrews 12:23-25
23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.Hear the Heavenly Voice
25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,
Amen! Salvation is all of grace from beginning to end. Those who plan on adding their works to His finished work understand neither the holiness of God or their own sinfulness.
This thread demonstrates the plague of biblical ignorance and the paucity of gospel preaching rampant in modern America.
