TORRANCE, Calif., June 7, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- There are more than a dozen key differences in the beliefs of Christians and Mormons, yet most Christians have no idea.
In a recent article in the Christian magazine, World, author Joel Belz made this statement:
"A huge majority of the American public has no idea what Mormons claim to believe. If those holding to the Mormon faith were to place their distinctive truth claims front and center, the public response would be probing, negative, and nasty." -- World Magazine, God's World Publications, online June 16, 2012 edition (Vol. 27, No. 12)
For starters, official Mormon teachings include the belief that God the Father was once a man who progressed to godhood and that worthy men may one day become gods themselves.
On the topic of Jesus, official Mormon doctrine holds that Jesus' death on the cross did not provide full atonement for all sin. There is no concept of the Trinity. Rather, Mormonism is polytheistic, having multiple gods.
Everyone -- whether you are religious or just curious -- should know the differences. A free side-by-side comparison chart showing differences between Mormonism and Christianity is available as a free download for your computer or iPad. It can be printed for personal or group use. AH...
Prayer is not suppose to be a hard to do...
God Himself left Heaven and came down to Earth to be born as a baby and to grow up and shed His blood on the Cross and to die on the Cross to redeem us and make it EASY for us...
The LORD Jesus Christ did ALL the heavy lifting...
There is nothing hard left for us to do...
Now you attempt to school me on prayer, what God is or isn't and once again, call me an AH? Let's see.....who's the 'Holier than thou, condescending Christian, again?
I may regret asking this but..
What’s an AH?
I love these pro-Obama threads.
Yeah, there is a whole lot of disgusting mormon doctrine and practices posted on this thread.
Christians generally find polytheistic non-trinitarian necrobaptizing lies about restoring the Christian gospel pretty disgusting.
I always wonder why we see supposed Christians come on these threads and defend the lies. I find particularly disgusting this little gem...."On Sunday, 3 April 1836, after Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery knelt in prayer in the new Kirtland Temple, a wondrous experience took place. Jesus the Christ appeared. He came to his templethe first to be authorized by him for centuries. The Savior accepted the offering of his Saintsthis temple built at great sacrificeand then expanded their understanding in regard to the importance of what they had accomplished: Yea the hearts of thousands and tens of thousands shall greatly rejoice in consequence of the blessings which shall be poured out, and the endowment with which my servants have been endowed in this house (D&C 110:9).
Or perhaps you might find THIS disgusting.....
Upon you my fellow servants, in the name of Messiah I confer the , which holds the keys of the ministering of angels," the ancient prophet John the Baptist announced on May 15, 1829, when sent by God to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery at Harmony, Pennsylvania.
Weeks later, Peter, James, and John, who possess "the keys of the kingdom, and of the dispensation of the fulness of times," appeared to Joseph and Oliver and conferred upon them the . Now the fulness of the gospel could be restored, the Church of Jesus Christ could be organized to "roll forth," and all the necessary for the salvation of God's children could be performedincluding bestowing the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Because were restored to Joseph Smith, all of God's children can receive the ordinances of salvation such as baptism administered by those called of God to act and speak in His name.
1. D&C 13:1.
2. D&C 128:20.
3. D&C 65:2.
Surely, when you go down upon your knees you will pray for the members of the mormon church who have been deceived by these claims that are doctrinal to mormonism....I know that the Flying Inmans have many on the prayer list that we distribute among our group weekly.
We would be happy to add your name to those who are in need of our Christian prayer.
call me an AH?

No I cant...
Im not careless about the things of God...
Im serious about God..
I refuse to mock Him...
But you seem to be unafraid to do so...
We have been posting the exact same message on FR since at least 2007. Obama doesn't factor into the false doctrine of mormonism.
Yet, you are still here.
It’s good to know that you have your pal Axelrod’s phone number...or he has your number...now WE have your number too.
And you are a bigot. When will you admit it?
Before we do that please provide the source of information linking to anti-mormon threads or mormon hatred threads, I can provide links of threads that expose mormonISM however if you are interested.
uhmmmm, you're not familiar with what bigotry is are you? The dogpile on me by all of you is a really good example of it. Seriously, you people are demented.
What ???
He insulted me and called me names over a common English expression ???
are you kidding ???
He didnt concentrate real hard enough on my word did he ???
Or maybe he did too much...
