I’m going to post something here that I originally wrote to encourage people to vote for Newt in the primary - concentrating on why this issue matters.
It’s still a reason to vote against Obama, because Obama is just as bad as Romney on this issue, with the added twist that Obamacare exempts Muslims so it clearly serves the sharia goal of a dhimmi tax being required of non-Muslims but not Muslims. If Obama can get that at the federal level, the Islamists don’t even have to go the local-precedent route to get to sharia in the entire US.
But more than anything at this point, if Romney is the R candidate, this is a reason to vote for Senate and House people who will recognize the grave danger we are in. Both the D and R establishments are tearing this country limb from limb, on the very things that make us America. If we get rid of the freedom of religion we’ve lost everything - especially considering that the one-world-government type people (who apparently own both the D and R parties) have all their eggs in the Islamist basket.
Serious, serious times. The people who poo-pooh the significance of this issue better buy their burkas and prayer rugs right now, because that’s where they’re gonna end up if they fail to recognize what’s at stake here.
For those people, I recommend they read “The Kite Runner” and consider it the appetizer before the full meal unless they personally do something to stop the takeover of America that is in progress.
Here’s what I wrote:
At http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7y2KsU_dhwI Ray Comfort asks people on the street: Youre in Germany in 1935, in front of a deep trench filled with bodies most dead but some alive. Armed soldiers tell you to operate a bulldozer to bury the bodies; if you refuse you will be shot and the person next to you will do it instead. What would you do?
The whole video is an excellent watch, as each person sorts through the options and reasoning behind them. This is not an imaginary scenario. I have read eyewitness accounts of those who evaded capture who listened to the cries coming from under the soil and watched the ground writhe with the escape efforts of their loved ones, buried alive by their own countrymen. Ive read of people who were required to provide background music for the killings, or to beat their fellow emaciated prisoners.
It wasnt because the overlords couldnt do it themselves; it was so nobody innocent could ever stand up and accuse them. It was so everyone would share the guilt, and those who were coerced into the thing they hate would be so disgusted and demoralized as to feel subhuman. Its the same demoralization as is currently used in the rape rooms in Iran, where boys are first repeatedly sodomized and then forced to sodomize each other, or in Iraq where Saddam Hussein lined up and executed all the men in a village while their families watched and then charged the wives for the bullet with which their husband was murdered. Such a small fee it was to kill that womans soul.
Coercion is the essence of rape. It is one person overpowering another to get them to do what is repulsive to them. Its unthinkable that our government would do this to us.
Its happening in Massachusetts. Catholic hospitals are required to inform women of their right to use the abortifacient morning after pill and to provide it to those who want it (regardless of whether rape is claimed) even though Catholic doctrine says that abortion is murder. This is government-coerced abortion.
What you or I believe about abortion is not at issue here. The soldiers in the scenario above believed the bodies in the trench were garbage, and German law at the time allowed the government to kill Jews. That is another issue, which the video addresses. The point here is that every Catholic who puts money in the collection plate is being forced by the government to participate in an act which their own religious doctrine says is murder.
There are plenty of secular hospitals and pharmacies which would voluntarily operate the bulldozer. This is not about access to abortions; its about demoralization - defiling consciences which oppose abortion.
A 1975 MA law ensures that no law can force a person to participate in abortion against their own religious beliefs. In the 30 years leading up to the passage of Romneycare all abortion laws were known to thus not apply to Catholic hospitals. But Mitt Romney said that his counsel told him the Romneycare abortion law was different. Without expressly saying so (and in spite of 30 years where not saying so meant the conscience law was still in effect), this law nullified the 1975 conscience law. Romney applauded that nullification as a sounder view, saying it is the right thing for Catholic hospitals to violate their own religion and conscience:
On that basis, I have instructed the Department of Public Health to follow the conclusion of my own legal counsel and to adopt that sounder view, Romney said. In my personal view, its the right thing for hospitals to provide information and access to emergency contraception to anyone who is a victim of rape.
That was in 2005. Since then, Romney has needed the support of the pro-life community to become the Republican candidate for President so he has made lots of promises that sound good, and on the basis of those promises many pro-life groups have declared him to be pro-life.
Romney defends Romneycares coerced abortions by pointing out that states are not bound by the US Constitution. First Amendment guarantees of religious liberty dont apply to states. States are free to establish religion and violate religious liberty, as Romney has done in MA.
The chief way that Islamists plan to establish sharia in free countries is by establishing precedents at the more local levels and then using that precedent to force the whole country into sharia Islam forced onto everyone. Romneys claims would also allow states to establish sharia.
Thats like saying as long as its soldiers and not police ordering innocents to run the bulldozers its perfectly fine.
Its not fine. Its tyranny like Ahmadinejad or Saddam Hussein would do.
We must not reward this tyranny. Vote Newt Gingrich in Nebraskas Republican primary on May 15.
I will vote for Newt Gingrich in the WV primary on May 8.
I will not vote for Mitt the Abortionist.
Ever.
