SALT LAKE CITY -- An LDS-oriented group is calling on GOP presidential hopeful Rick Santorum to disavow a pastor who made anti-Mormon comments earlier this week.
In a news release, MormonVoices, which is associated with the Foundation for Apologetic Information and Research, called for Santorum to "condemn the anti-Mormon comments made by his supporter, an honorary Florida chairman, the Rev. O'Neal Dozier" of the Worldwide Christian Center.
On Monday Dozier said "the Mormon religion is prejudiced against blacks, Jews and native Americans." He called Mormonism a "racist" religion and called on Romney to renounce it.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints did not issue a response to Dozier but earlier has said "people of all races have always been welcomed and baptized into the church since its beginning" and "the church unequivocally condemns racism, including any and all past racism by individuals both inside and outside the church."
Scott Gordon, managing director of MormonVoices, not associated with the church, said, "Dozier's comments represent a form of religious bigotry that should not be tolerated by any serious candidate for the Presidency of the United States. His comments are either ignorant or are willful misrepresentations for personal or political purposes."
You never said WHO did. Again, complain to the mods who can do something about it rather than whine.
And yet, somehow ... almost mysteriously ... Utah is ranked #5 in the US as the most CONSERVATIVE. Go figure ...

Once again, massive FAIL Eva.
First of all, no such user.
Second of all, if there were, you should have courtesy pinged him/her.
Third, I only FReepmail my friends and acquaintances.
Fourth, and most importantly, you need to learn how to provide EVIDENCE when you make these accusations, such as a link to a so-called duplicate thread, or to a post within a thread.
We’re the home of the free-range RINO (sigh).
“A majority of these are Conservatives.”
Name _ONE_ nationally known conservative Mormon politician.
What does that have to do with your post # 11, "There are approximately 6.1 Million Mormons in the US. A majority of these are Conservatives. So, do you want ~4-5 Million voters, or do you want to alienate them?" which seems to indicate mormons won't vote for the republican nominee unless it's Romney because of the truth coming to light about the beliefs of mormonism?
That sounded very much like a threat...go figure.
My post was about the inflated figure you posted regarding mormon membership...and if mormons won't vote for anyone but Romney, they sure aren't "conservative".
The decision by the Religion Moderator has been that the same article can be posted if there is a period of a day between postings.
You ARE aware that this thread is on the Religion Forum, right?
The posts were made within 24 hours.
where’s the link little Eva?
-oh, and it is not a religous article. It is a campaign article. Maybe it doesn’t belong in the religion section.
Look, I’m tired of perpetuating this despicable article. You can do a search, just like you should have done before you posted it.
I wish that there was someway to block the religion forum posts from the main page of comments, so we wouldn’t have to be bothered by them unless we want to.
Are you a Romney supporter?
Oh, come on Eva if you don’t like the post, think it’s duplicate, feel that people are unfairly attacking Santorum, press the abuse button, complain to the admin, do something else besides whining about it.
You only have to press the news/activism link, stop pressing the everything link and you will not see items in the religion forum.
All the posters on the first posting of the article were the Romney supporters.
Reposting the article played right into their hands and the hands of the Gingrich supporters, who like to claim that Santorum supporters are just too radical on social issues.

First, I highly doubt that about Romney supporters since that is grounds for a zot around here, but I do know we have some stealth romneybots.
Second, you are flat out hysterical. You remind me of a certain Perry supporter who drove a whole lot of people away from Perry with her accusations. You need to chill.
Third, you are not helping your candidate with your false accusations.
Fourth, who died and made you the arbiter of Santorum’s defense?
SHEESH!
Seventh-day Adventists 0.57%
HEY!!!
Our numbers are a LOT better if you'd come-a-counting on the RIGHT day!!!!
--SDA_Dude(how 'bout that 3% stuff!)
. Find a radical Mormon hater and tie him to Santorum, then demand that Santorum denounce one of his own supporters.

Um...this guy tied himself to Santorum and this guy IS RIGHT about MORMONS, he isn’t a Mormon hater he speaks the truth.
It is the Mormons who think this guy is a ‘hater’ and demanding an apology and the Mormons are the Romney supporters, not us.
Actaully according to you we are ‘radical mormon haters’.
Excellent! You rock!
This is one time BLACKs can actually count their blessings and have cause to celebrate, who wants to go to BIGOT heaven?
Blacks all over should just stand up and shout "THANK YOU" to the LDS.
