As a free American I have a right to use religion as part of my selection process for candidates. I will not, for example, vote for a satan worshiper, a scientologist, a Rastafarian, Muslim, Wiccan and yes a Mormon for president. They can certainly run for president, I just will never vote for them because I will not validate their religious beliefs.

On the other hand, Mormons have every right to vote for Mitt based on their religious preference. I guess bigotry only works one way??

So all you high and mighty sorts throwing around the term bigot are yourselves some of the most intolerant and bigoted people around. Yes, bigoted against the exercise of rational choice in a free society. The bigot police can go to hell.

When anyone raises Obama's race, Romney's Mormonism, or Kennedy's Catholicism, they reveal themselves as the true bigots. The media, as does each one of us, have an obligation of self-censorship.

Nope! It's because he is a "Moderate" just like John McLain - who just recently "endorsed" him - big surprise there. Romney is NOT a real Conservative and cannot beat Obama because of it. That he believes he will one day be a god inhabiting his own planet and solar system with multiple "wives" begetting "spiritual" children to people his planet doesn't help his cause, but it won't be why he will lose.

I trust what I hear from ex-mormons about this cult, not the members within. Especially since I are one, an ex, that is.

Any mormon I see on any ballot for any office will get my immediate vote for the opponent. I wear enough scars and paid enough pain to purchase that right.

Reminds me of Ambrose Bierce's observation about the inhabitants of Shiloh, it wasn't clear if, like the ancient Egyptians they worshiped the crocodile, or like modern Americans, they worshiped themselves.

I can see where at lot of hypocrites would be uncomfortable with a person who acts on his faith.

For a couple of years my wife talked about starting a business and a few months ago I convinced her to do so.

She is a writer and won two contracts to write books. She hired me to help do research, proof-read and offer advice.

One contract, which we have just finished, is for a German schoolbook that teaches English to eighth graders with “little known fun facts.”

We covered a lot of interesting topics like the legend of Robin Hood and how it was started.

I was surprised however when I saw Mormonism on the recommended list of topics that the publisher had sent to my wife.

I figured - who am I to question anything about this? - so I just stuck to my job and provided research about Mormonism.

After reading the information I provided her with, my wife (who is the boss) basically decided the topic was too weird to belong in the schoolbook and dropped it like a hot potato.
