Excerpts:
Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Kings 13:18 The old prophet answered, "I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the word of the LORD: 'Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.'" (But he was lying to him.)
Jeremiah 23:16 This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.
Ezekiel 22:27 Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain.
Daniel 11:34 When they fall, they will receive a little help, and many who are not sincere will join them.
Matthew 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Matthew 24:11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
Matthew 24:24 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible.
Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect--if that were possible.
Luke 6:26 Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets.
John 10:12 The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.
Acts 13:6 They traveled through the whole island until they came to Paphos. There they met a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet named Bar-Jesus,
Acts 20:29 I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock.
Romans 16:17 I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.
2 Timothy 3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
2 Peter 2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves.
1 John 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Revelation 16:13 Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
Revelation 19:20 But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

What? You work for the TSA???
Exactly, a waste of time. I’m taking your lead and not responding either.
Mormonism is simply not Christian. Mormonism is a cult. Mormon’s believe they can become gods through their own power, which is distinctly anti-Christ-like.
Surprise and Merry Christmas!
I agree with you 100 percent.
(try not to fall over, lol)
‘And when God the Father entered into history to walk this earth as the man Jesus Christ”
SI, you are right, the author didn’t imply modalism, the author attributed modalism to St Augustine.
THE FATHER DID NOT WALK THIS EARTH AS THE MAN JESUS CHRIST.
St Augustine believed in the Trinity, this author doesn’t know what he is talking about.
If our country were to elect a Mormon, we would be undone by God.
I am positive about this.
The fact that we would even consider it certainly has us
under God's wrath.
well, you better hope we are right when we set the canon of the NT.
and you better hope we faithfully copied the NT over 2,000 years.
i sense a devotee of Ellen White, am i right?
Prefer to look at it as being Pro-Christian website.
FR is and always will be a pro-God site. You know, the one and only TRUE Judeo-Christian God of the bible.
You sense wrong. Used to be SDA but no more for that very reason. Ellen White carries as much weight as your Pope with me, which is very little. When Jesus was tempted by Satan, did he answer by "It is written" OR "Church tradition says"? Well, which one? And as much as churches (yours too) wish to misinterpret scriptures, the Sabbath is still the Sabbath. No record of Paul (or any of the apostles) carrying a crucifix or saying 3 "Hail Marys" is there? The Bible is Gods Holy Word because that is the way He wanted it.
They HAVE TV??? Who knew???
Ha!
Merry Christmas Jim! Thanks for this place!
Ellen White was a false prophetess, just as much as Joseph Smith was a false prophet.
tell me, without “church tradition”, how would we KNOW which books are canonical and which are not?
for example, without “church tradition” why do you accept the Book of Hebrews as Scripture, when no one knows who the human author was?
btw, the Sabbath is still the Sabbath, Christians just don’t keep the Sabbath, never have and never will.
“For fifteen hundred years the Christian West, which includes America, had followed St. Augustine (AD 354-430) in affirming that as all men are the image-bearers of the transcendent Triune God the Father Almighty then it logically follows that every human being is a trinity of being, intellect, and will. And when God the Father entered into history to walk this earth as the man Jesus Christ..”
Spirited: Note that the author described St. Augustine as affirming not a modalist version of God but rather the transcendent Triune God.
