A notoriously 'gay-friendly' parish in San Francisco has invited an openly homosexual Episcopalian cleric to lead an Advent Vespers service.
Most Holy Redeemer parish asked Bishop Otis Charles, a retired Episcopalian prelate, to lead the November 30 service. After serving as the Bishop of Utah from 1971 to 1993, he publicly announced that he is homosexual. Divorced from the mother of his 5 children, he solemnized a same-sex union in 2004.
No truth.
God's plans will not be thwarted. If not Mary, then someone else.
What's that got to do with the question I asked???
Stick with the Septuagint.
If you read Hosea you will see that the northern kingdom became not a people , so in effect they were divorced from him . The southern kingdom repented and came back from captivity 70 years later . If you read the whole story of Hosea and Gomer you will know that they are beloved to him and why he provided a ransom to buy them back .
Hos 1:1 The word of the LORD that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
Hos 1:2 The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD.
Hos 1:3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.
Hos 1:4 And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.
Hos 1:5 And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.
Hos 1:6 And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him, Call her name Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away.
Hos 1:7 But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.
Hos 1:8 Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.
Hos 1:9 Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.
Hos 1:10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.
Hos 1:11 Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
If you were referring to what I posted you were referring to the KJV.
The KJV is riddled with errors.

Are you saying that if Mary had not cooperated God would have been defeated and we wouldnt have a Savior? Surely you jest. I can assure you that the God I serve is greater then that.
Was or was not Revelation written by John the Apostle?
In other words, the Baptists are the closet thing to the church found in scripture than any other group...
And they're bad because they claim only the worthy belong to the church...And of course, you say differently...
Only worthy Baptists belong to the church but unworthy Catholics belong to the church, the Body of Jesus Christ, the Bride of Jesus...
If I was you, I wouldn't leave my chair...I wouldn't dare go anywhere for fear something would happen to me before I got saved...
You need a bible and a lot of praying...To Jesus...
The undergirding text of the translation I posted was the ancient Greek text that predates the texts used to produce the KJV by about 1,000 years.
Amen and Amen! The Catholics need to come to the realization that its God who gets the glory not Mary.
Thanks for pointing that out. I'm sure I had heard that sometime along the way and it does make sense, but it wasn't anywhere near the portion of my brain that recalls these things. :-)
Sadly, I guess it'll have to stop, though. Someone back around 300 said the whole Old Testament had to be thrown out (Marcion? I get the heretics mixed up and can't keep track of them very well), and you know the new rule formulated at the Third Council of Titmouse held according to the standards and nontraditions of "YOPIOS". The new rule makes it clear that if anyone ever questioned a portion of Scripture it has to go.

Free-will. If you deny free-will, then your idea of who God is comes far closer to the Muslims than mine does.
Have you actually read this?
I notice that many of the posted quotes leave out things between the beginning of the quote and the end. In other words, they all have a “....” which indicates things in between the beginning of the quote and the end are left out.
When I google just the quotes what comes up? Why, a list of anti Catholic sites that take just these quotes, presented exactly as they are here and then goes on to denounce Catholicism using these REDACTED quotes as proof that Catholics worship Mary and “replace” God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit with her.
It is deceptive practice of these sites and no-nothings who gobble up the deception and repeat them are counting on gullible people who will never read the entire work to nod in agreement that indeed, Catholics worship Mary.
St. Ligouri was a devout Christian Catholic who had a special love and devotion to Mary. The work in question, “The Glories of Mary” was a defense against the same type of attacks on Marialogy that we see on these forums.
I do not have the book, and it will take some time for me to find the COMPLETE quotes but suffice it to say for now, that what was cut and pasted here was meant to inflame and not educate or edify.
When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
2 Thessalonians 1:10
When you give glory to the saints, you give glory to God.
More like God saw Mary as a human incubator.
If not her, then some other dupe.
The Baptists practice creative theology.
