A notoriously 'gay-friendly' parish in San Francisco has invited an openly homosexual Episcopalian cleric to lead an Advent Vespers service.
Most Holy Redeemer parish asked Bishop Otis Charles, a retired Episcopalian prelate, to lead the November 30 service. After serving as the Bishop of Utah from 1971 to 1993, he publicly announced that he is homosexual. Divorced from the mother of his 5 children, he solemnized a same-sex union in 2004.
God will not be mocked.
Why won’t Niedrauer suppress that parish?
I’m sure Piglosi will be pleased to note that not all ‘religious’ figures have a ‘conscience problem’.
I can already write what your next response will be. "Well, this is San Francisco, what do you expect?"
I expect heads to roll and some excommunications. I recommend reading Corinthians to see what Paul said to a liberal church. If it steps on some big toes, so be it.
I have held my tongue for months now with story after story of decay in the Church. This just was a straw too heavy for my back. I guess mass will be done by the local Imam next. The Church had better wake up and stop these fools! Take up for them and protect them at your own peril. There is either authority in the church or not. As for me, I don't go along to get along. Call me a Catholic basher if you want to, but it's right there in your face and most are in denial.
Did they meant they Sodomized their union in 2004 instead of Solemizing their union?
13: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Apparently these folks have not read these passages. They fit the WIDE road easily. They are not going to make it in the narrow way. Simple as that unless they repent their sin and as for Jesus Christ's forgiveness.
WHAT!? This cannot be allowed to happen. How can we stop this? I am going to send this story to TFP, I hope they can get a petition going.
Stop hyperventilating. The Magisterium is the Magisterium regardless of whether discipline is light or heavy, and the Magisterium has not wavered on the moral teachings of the Church. The provisions on homosexuality in the Catechism of the Catholic Church are clear as crystal.
Here is the Church’s information.

Often, I take signs like these to be The End Days. I think I may start activly praying for them.
One of those Episcopalians we hear so much about? You know, the ones crossing the Tiber by the boatload?
Welcome Home! < /sarc>
“Often, I take signs like these to be The End Days.”
I do as well.
Troubling as it is at least we know that we’ll be crowned with final Victory, and ‘they’ will finally lose.
No fag like an old fag in a pointy hat. Someday maybe the Episkies will give Christianity a try. They probably won't like it though.
Wait, what? I thought all Catholics were unified under one set of rules.
“Wait, what? I thought all Catholics were unified under one set of rules.”
If everything was as it should be, this would be the case.
Cronos, you in here? (CRICKETS)
We have two Catholic U.S. Senators and one Catholic State Senators. All huge libs, all huge abortion promoters. Why don’t their parishes boot them out of the congregation???
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
The Catholic church CLAIMS if WROTE the Bible, hence Corinthians, Paul being a *church father* and all, and claims that it is the only legitimate avenue for interpreting it.
But what's happened is that they've COMPLETELY abdicated their responsibility in dealing with moral issues within the church.
Their credibility has tanked. There is NO excuse for this kind of nonsense.
1 Corinthians 5 1It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is not tolerated even among pagans, for a man has his fathers wife. 2And you are arrogant! Ought you not rather to mourn? Let him who has done this be removed from among you.
3For though absent in body, I am present in spirit; and as if present, I have already pronounced judgment on the one who did such a thing. 4When you are assembled in the name of the Lord Jesus and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus, 5you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.
6 Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. 8Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
9I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people 10 not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.
11But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindlernot even to eat with such a one. 12For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? 13God judges those outside. "Purge the evil person from among you."
