“tasted of the heavenly gift “

That says it all, doesn’t it?

I’ve always read this passage to mean that if you possessed the fullness of faith, in the Catholic Church, and then walk away from that more complete knowledge into a religion with lessor understanding, you are sinning against the Holy Spirit.

There is a lot going on in these scriptures. If you believe outside of Christ after you knew Christ would be more like it. I believe it is when you have a heavenly gift as one of the requirements. During this time in History and Today there is the Spiritual language. Speaking in the Spirit. Heavenly language. I have this gift myself. I know without a doubt Jesus exists. There is a presence and unction that you know without a doubt is not you the individual. It(language) is supernatural. It can also puff people up by there selfish minds. Just look at the letters to the corinthians. They spoke in the spirit. The Holy spirit is still a gentleman. He will not force himself on people. Thus they can still have wrong and evil notions at times or to that point of no return back.

Other people inside themselves even when they do not seek it out completely after a point do not care to seek even if it is true sad to say Hell is filled with these types. Remember seek and you will find. God knows what is truly in the hearts of men.

I have to go to sleep. So I can not respond. I have an 8 hour seminar class tommorrow.

Freeper Regards!

>>> Your entitled to your opinion.

Thanks... I appreciate that. :)

If “BURNED” is a reference to condemnation, then “Blessing” is a reference to salvation.

See how that works?

Finally, envy is a sin against the Holy Spirit because it was through Satan’s envy that death entered the world. .... One must accept the blessings God has given him rather than look at how God has blessed another and desire that for himself.

Funny thing (not ha-ha funny). I grew up poor. Not today's phony poor but real, old fashioned, 'poor'. The patches on my jeans had patches. And one thing I never had was envy of my playmates or even (cough) relatives who had 'more stuff'. We just didn't live or think that way. We had 'x' and others had 'x+2' and that was that.

And in hindsight being poor was actually a good thing for me. As it 'encouraged me' to work hard, or harder, so I would never again have to be 'poor'. What I had, I earned but NOT at the expense of others ( I saw that game played and loathed it). Along with that was learning things on my own and that I was able to do due to my immediate family. Plus some GOOD teachers (Chi Public Schools no less) who taught us how to learn, and not only what was being taught in class but to expand our knowledge and/or interests.

And today, at 63 yo, I still haven't been bit by that Green Monster called 'Envy'.
Now we have 'x+2', but some have 'x+5', 'x+25', or even x+108 -- and good for them. God bless 'em.

I was taught similar, except with the addition that the Pharisees knew it was the holy spirit but said otherwise

I could sure be envious of someone without this plantar faciitis pain. I don’t think I have ever dealt with anything so painful in my whole life. Even childbirth.

I’m trying to offer it up, often in tears.

Thanks for your prayers.

Likewise blaspheming the Blessed Virgin Mary since she was the Mother of God made Man.

And that Jesus was incarnate in her body through the power of the Holy Spirit.

A good clarification of what I meant to say.
