The LDS teaching of the Holy Ghost (who will leave you if you are not ‘worthy’) is completely unbiblical.

1. We must keep our bodies clean.

We must not pollute our mortal tabernacles in any way. We must live the Word of Wisdom;

Ha ha!

D&C 89:7
And, again, strong drinks are not for the belly, but for the washing of your bodies.

Note: No Biblical sources listed in the article

Except, of course, for this one - 1 Cor. 3:16–17.

Which is completely taken out of context and misused.

This LDS teaching is unbiblical, not to mention legalistic

“No member of the godhead dwells in us in the literal sense of the word, but all of them dwell in us figuratively to the extent that we are like them.”
(See Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith pg 275-76)

. ...”the Holy Ghost is now in a state of probation which, if he should perform in righteousness, he may pass through the same or a similar course of things that the Son has” (An account of a sermon delivered by Joseph Smith on 27 Aug 1843)(Words of Joseph Smith, p, 245, capitalization and punctuation corrected)...

“the Holy Ghost is yet a spiritual body and waiting to take to himself a body as the Savior did, or as God did, or the Gods before them took bodies” (Words of Joseph Smith, p. 382, capitalization and punctuation corrected)

I enjoyed the article. I wouldn’t have become a Mormon, without the influence of the Holy Spirit. And God continues to guide me and testify of truth through the power of the Holy Spirit.

you know eternal companionship is a crucial part of the gospel,

Quote, “President Hinckley outlined four ways young women can ensure virtue as a staple in their lives: prayer, study, tithing, and church attendance.” (Deseret News Sunday 3/25/07)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

No mention of marriage...

the principles of celestial marriage
That by it alone can the iniquity of the world be eradicated, and women exalted in heaven? Do you not know that polygamy is to purify the world, and give birth to a holy race, worthy to receive Christ?” (Anon)

Society is much the same everywhere. However, there is one peculiar feature about the Mormon society. The men are all and always matrimonially eligible. Only the women are married and settle (Anon)

Love! we leave that to the Gentiles. Saints marry from principle: women to get to heaven, and men to amuse themselves (Anon)

Conference was the time of marrying and giving in marriage. Conference is also the time to pay up the tithing: that chief duty of a Saint, without which none other is meritorious. The tithing-office overflows. The theater offers its choicest attractions; thus prayer, business and pleasure, make Conference the two great events of the year. (Anon)

Is the “God” you refer to the one who is:

* not eternal, and,

* did NOT create the universe?

.
.
.
.
Because it is written about the God I worship:
.
.
.
.

“For BY Him ALL things were created,
things in heaven and things on earth,
visible and invisible,
whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities,
ALL things were created BY Him and FOR Him.”
.
Colossians 1:16

I'm sure you believe so...however, did it escape your notice that there was only ONE Biblical reference in the whole article? That must be because it "wasn't translated correctly", hmmm...???

I thought it was an excellent example of the "attitude of superiority" so common in mormonism...especially the need of the speaker to call a non-mormon a liar....I'm amazed that you aren't pointing out that item of "bigotry".

1 Cor. 3:16–17

16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God, which you are, is holy.

That sounds like he is saying you shall not kill, i.e. murder. What do you think it means?

It appears your holy spirit is a dud...

Remember its not earned a body yet so it cant do anything for you...

The real Holy Spirit who is the Third Person of the Trinity is God and He kept me from ever converting from Christianity to mormonism by warning me when I was young and exposing the false doctrines of Joey Smith..

1. We must keep our bodies clean.

We must not pollute our mortal tabernacles in any way. We must live the Word of Wisdom; we must not misuse our powers of procreation; we must do whatever is possible to avoid disease or other enemies of our physical bodies.

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.” (1 Cor. 3:16–17.)

wheres the mention of the mormon doctrine, the word of wisdom in that Christian Bible scripture ???

Wheres the mention of sex in that Christian Bible scripture ???

Wheres the mention that W@E as mere humans have any “powers of procreation” in that Christian Bible scripture ???

Wheres the mention of disease in that Christian Bible scripture ???

Wheres the mention of the requiremment to “keep our bodies clean” in that Christian Bible scripture ???

Wheres the identification of any “other enemies of our physical bodies” in that Christian Bible scripture ???

In other words the mormon author misused the Christian Bible scripture and took it way out of context becauser knowing his Mormon readers and audience he was relying on them just to swallow the mormon doctrine Kool Ade and not to think for themselves and act like the noble Bereans and check on what they read...

He knew that the enslaved yes-men Mormons are not like free and questioning Christians...
