Certainly not all self-identified Roman Catholics worship the Vatican Cult's ISHTAR-MARY caricature. Though in South America and other 3rd world countries, the percentages seem to be extremely high of those who do.
Then there's the issue of only 7-30% of self-identified Roman Catholics come close to believing and practicing what the Vatican Cult calls the essentials of the faith. Fascinating, that.

You’ve brought up a good observation.
The gilded robes and golden accessories do more to attract worldly adulation than manifest the significant value of one chosen by God and given rich spiritual gifts.
Those who worship God through faith in Christ, frequently relish the opportunity to be present with those who have great spiritual gifts, yet worldly possessions and wealth surrounding such gifts tends to distract from their enormous value only available from His Providence.
On the contrary, a counterfeit system of religion will tend to substitute worldly wealth for spiritual Providence.

However, King David was no pauper by any measure.
Nevertheless, I believe many—maybe most TV evangelists are overly hung up on their egos, their giftings, their ministries, their works, etc. etc. And, I believe God is getting set to bring many of them as low or lower than He took Jim Baker.
However, NOT EVERY TV EVANGELIST has his priorities thoroughly upside down and corrupt.
Why is it OK for sports stars to screw around like bunnies and earn megamillions?
Why is it Ok for music stars to do worse morally than most people in most groups . . . yet earn even more megamillions?
Yet, it’s NOT OK for Christian ministers who bring hope, healing, redemptive Growth; Christ’s Salvation etc. to 10’s of millions to travel in their own jets, own fine homes etc. and STILL live well below rock stars and sports stars wealthy ostentaciousness?
