Camping May 21 Rapture and the Replacement Theology Lie
vanity | 5/21/11 | marbren

Camping is a victim of replacement theology. IMHO the lie of replacement theology is almost as insidious as idolatry. The key to holistic understanding of Bible prophecy is to understand the role of Israel in it. God keeps his promises to Israel. This is a model to the rest of us that he will keep his promises to us as well.

A majority of the church going world has been victimized. I believed the lie for 35 years. During the past 20 I have been seeking the truth and only recently did I stop saying IMHO replacement theology is a lie and replaced it with: Replacement theology is a lie dropping the IMHO. For those that do not know, Replacement theology is the lie that the Church has replaced Israel in God’s plan.

The church was polluted by Replacement theology early on. Origen and Augustine, early Fathers of the church, were the first to muddy up the scriptures in this way when they arrogantly took on the mantle of Israel for themselves. Martin Luther apparently did not study it and this lead to his anti-Semitism and Hitler. In many ways IMHO it is like a reverse of the circumcision party that led to Acts 15.

This replacement theology lie has lead to the church we have today. Everyone is running around not knowing what is happening in these end times we are in. The truth is The Church, the Bride of Christ, has a role and Israel has a role. Think of men and women, children and parents, husbands and wives, angels and people, dogs and cats, sheep and goats, wheat and tares. All these have roles God invented.

So the solution: Open your Bible, drop your preconceived notions and open your mind, ask God to reveal the truth about all this Israel stuff written in the Bible. The Lord Jesus Christ is central in it all. Gods Grace and Mercy is incredible, He does all the work. Faith and hope and love permeate the entire Bible and the greatest of these is love.

I would say the reviewer deplores Catholicism and Islam - but I would not know how he feels about the people who call themselves Catholic or Muslim.

I draw this line because he speaks of particular doctrines and teachings.

Angel-Gal, Betty Boop . . . et al . . .

I’m usually quite . . . skeptical about most amateur ‘Bible Codes.’

Usually, they are too short to be statistically significant etc.

However, this bloke seems to have come up with a statistically significant code which includes obviously meaningful terms . . . which also relate meaningfully to the surface text etc. etc.

Those with more of a math mind than I . . . I’m interested in what you think about this character’s findings.

Thanks in advance:

My group? And what group would that be Mr. Cronos? Are you making assumptions, making accusations, or just trying to assign me to some “group”?

Your group is whatever name you want to call the sect you go to. To keep up with the changing names is your problem, not mine

Am I making an accusation by saying one belongs to one's group? Hardly, unless one does NOT belong to one's very own group.

END TIMES LIST,

I was struck by something looking at these two maps today.

Please check out the last of my post at the end of this page here:

And please post a comment if you notice anything like what I’m conjecturing about.

It seems to me that the quake map is pointing in a key respect or two at the other map along some lines and dimensions.

If you had read the article at the link, you would have seen that, during the Millennial Kingdom, national Israel will not only play a major part in governing the world with Jesus Christ, but will be put in positions of authority over Gentiles.

Here is some Biblical truth from the article:

"There are several passages that speak of David as being king over Israel and prince under King Messiah, such as Jeremiah 30:9. Not only will Israel in the future serve Jehovah their God, but they will also serve David their king."

"Another passage is Ezekiel 34:23-24. When the restoration of Israel comes, it will no longer be in the form of two kingdoms with each one having their own king. They will be a reunited nation with only one head, and that head will be the resurrected David, who will serve as their prince. So while Jehovah will serve as their God and absolute King, David will serve under Him as God's prince over Israel."

"Later, in Ezekiel 37:24-25, Ezekiel reiterates the fact that they will have David to function as the king of Israel. He is to be their prince and shepherd. Under his guidance, Israel will be able to keep the righteous commandments of God. The Land will be restored to them as well as David their king."

As we all know, David never accepted Christ as his Savior because the Father had not sent the Messiah at that time, yet we know from Scripture that David is put in a position of "prince" during the Millennial Reign of Christ.

It would appear as though God has a plan for national Israel in the future, even though they are currently in a state of unbelief. We may just have to accept what God tells us all through the Bible - that God will purify Israel through the Tribulation and bring her to the point where she accepts Jesus as her Messiah and is in a position to receive the blessings that God has promised them. We may just have to believe God when He tells us that "all Israel will be saved".

Then there is this little bombshell:

"The final link in this chain of command in the Jewish branch of government is that Israel is to become the head over the Gentiles. More will be said on this in the next chapter, but mention of it must be made here."

"The fact that Israel is to become the head of the Gentiles was part of God's promises to Israel in the Book of Deuteronomy. One such passage is Deuteronomy 15:6."

"The leadership over the Gentiles is to be part of Israel's reward for obedience in Deuteronomy 28:1."

"Such obedience and headship awaits Israel's national regeneration. This promise is reiterated in Deuteronomy 28:13."

"Besides the statements found in the Law of Moses, the Prophets also described Israel's future headship over the Gentiles. One such passage is Isaiah 14:1-2."

"For Jehovah will have compassion on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the sojourner shall join himself with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob. And the peoples shall take them, and bring them to their place; and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of Jehovah for servants and for handmaids: and they shall take them captive whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.

"The Gentiles will not only conduct the Jews back to the Land of Israel, but they will be possessed by Israel. They will become servants to Israel. Similar passages are found in Isaiah 49:22-23 and 61:6-7."

It doesn't get any better for those who believe that Jews have been discarded. God has a plan for Israel, separate and apart from the Church, and He will keep His promises to His chosen people.

true, the various sects splitting and resplitting by means of sola scriptura like harold camping’s group are truly representative of the whore of Babylon — the multi-headed symbol of chaos

This is a breath-takingly direct contradiction of the Holy Scriptures, of the very words of Christ. Matthew 22:41-46; Mark 12:35-37; Luke 20:41-44. You too have demonstrated my point regarding the imbalance of theology among the dispensationalists. You have illustrated it all too well. And it has led you into false doctrine.

“As we all know ...” Note carefully the closing verses in Mark’s recounting of this event: Jesus INTERPRETED Psalm 110:1 thus: “’Therefore David himself calls Him (the Messiah) “Lord”; how is He then his Son?’ And the common people heard Him gladly. Don’t include me in your “we”, count me among the common people.

Thanks. I actually have a lot of respect for Ken Gentry, and have attended at least one seminar where he spoke. He is a brilliant man. I also respect the work of Gary DeMar who is doing quite a bit through American Vision to bring back the works of the Reformers, and who is also a gifted writer. Likewise Bahnsen, whose apologetics are unassailable. These learned and committed men are not to be dismissed by those who have not devoted a lifetime to research and learning as they have.

That said, I continue to read and pray about the eschatology issue, maintaining my view that prophecy in the Bible can be fulfilled in more than one way and at more than one time. As an example I would cite Isaiah 7:14-17 in the context of the place in which the prophecy was given.

Thank You Alamo-Girl Excellent inspired answer. A judgmental attitude, the log in our eye, is probrbably as insidious as idolatry and the replacement theology lie! When I said "hate" and hit the post button I was judgmental. I should have said angry at or fearful of or hurt by catholics and muslims.

Oh, I agree that the review of Gentry comes from rapture ready and they would disagree with Gentry. The key for you esquirette and everyone else is going to be your own conversations and intimate personal relationship with Our Lord Jesus Christ.

DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT ANYONE SAYS INCLUDING ME OR GENTRY OR FR POSTERS OR ANY GROUP OR CHURCH OR YOUR OWN PRECONCEIVED NOTIONS. HUMBLE YOURSELF, OPEN YOUR BIBLE READ AND ASK JESUS TO SHOW YOU THE TRUTH. EVERYONE SEES THOUGH A GLASS DIMLY. AND ALWAYS REMEMBER DEUT 29:29. I DO NOT KNOW IS ALWAYS A WISE ANSWER.

True. We must all be theologians, and will render an account on our own. We must study to show ourselves approved.

I assume you mean TLH, as opposed to LW or LSB. I’m not sure what you mean by “mix it up.”

The Israel Mary point is interesting. My response would be Israel stuff comes from God's word. Mary stuff comes from catholic tradition. There is a difference. Preconceived notions are an issue however.

Even though I discount replacement theology My Lord Jesus Christ is everything to me. I put Israel and the Church in the analysis not Israel and Our Lord Jesus Christ.

BTW We Lutherans do have a good take on God's grace and Justification. We tend to drop the ball on sanctification however.
