This is fascinating. Thanks to nws for enlightening us on Romanist terminology.

Quix- I’m thinking this goes a long ways to explaining the pedophile problem that exists amongst Romanists. If their theological language is coterminous with sexual language this association can lead to actions in which a person believes that the act in the natural sphere somehow relates to a theological goodness. This would be especially prevalent amongst those involved in priestcraft because they are always working in both spheres.

What say you?

Wow! Excellent observation. Until today, I never knew that word had a religious connection.

Your sect’s perversions are an abomination and offensive to God. Apostasy is evil.

Worthy points.

The letter of THE LAW kills . . . the Spirit brings life.

An earthly focus . . . salvation by works . . . has consequences.

Aside from that, it reveals why there is no outrage from Catholics about their priest's behavior.

When someone has the base mentality that that kind of play on words is funny, then there's there's just that much less likelihood that they'll see anything wrong with impropriety when done by others.

Your sect’s perversions are sin of the worst kind.

Such people have sect’s properly described as coterminous with hell.

Wow I had not considered this.. all this double meaning sex talk is deeply rooted ..why Mary HAD to remain a virgin for her life..why the married priests in the middle ages were told to abstain from sex the night before they said mass.. now why they want priests and nuns to be sexless copies of real men and women..

Sex in their minds is not a gift from God, but a perversion ..they have almost ascetic world view.. and so the result is a given ...an attraction of the priesthood to men and the nunnery of women that know their homosexual feelings and desires are sinful..so they think they can "offer it up" by being celibate ....so they have a church full sexual immature adolescents ..Priests and nuns that can not control their sexual desirers and members that think sex jokes and double entendre discussions are actually funny ...

Well the fact is .they have shown themselves to be emotional immature people that LOL at things a teen ager would... Very Pathetic. because it does reveal the contents of their hearts as well

Mat 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Mat 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Great insight!

Which is the flip-side of the "self-inflicted suffering" issue in the RCC -- that the more one inflicts suffering on oneself, the closer one is to God. Thus suffering by abstaining from sex is a positive response to the Gospel, according to the RCC, which is a lie.

I just found out that the new head of the Los Angeles archdiocese, bishop Gomez, is opus dei. Wonder if he flagellates himself daily?
