We’ll let God decide who is winning, but I doubt that you’ll even be there for the decision...

"Paul and only Paul, knew what Judaism really was about." ROTFLMAO ...
Now, that's exactly what Irenaeus says is the hallmark of a heresy, but, nooooo, nobody here borders on heresy.
Give each other more high fives all around, you've just strayed into the marsh Irenaeus says is heresy.
You better hope there isn't a Rapture, if there is one ya'll will be here looking for verses to explain why so many Catholics and others who don't agree with you vanished.
Christ and Him crucified, not the NYT, dice, and OT feasts.

2 Peter 3:8 is not allegorical.
Peter is only explaining the domain of the term “day.”
Replacementeers are just bad allegory.

Peter is only explaining the domain of the term day. Your explanation of Peters meaning is faulty and identifies precisely why you guys often abandon literalism and become far more allegorical that your opponents.

Allegorical is reserved for replacementeers only.
I dont know what you mean by glory, Alice said.
Humpty Dumpty smiled contemptuously. Of course you donttill I tell you. I meant theres a nice knock-down argument for you!
But glory doesnt mean a nice knock-down argument, Alice objected.
When I use a word, Humpty Dumpty said, in a rather a scornful tone, it means just what I choose it to meanneither more nor less.
The question is, said Alice, whether you can make words mean so many different things.
The question is, said Humpty Dumpty, which is to be master thats all.
Alice was too much puzzled to say anything, so after a minute Humpty Dumpty began again. Theyve a temper, some of themparticularly verbs, theyre the proudestadjectives you can do anything with, but not verbshowever, I can manage the whole lot! Impenetrability! Thats what I say!

Hey, you just party on, dude.
1) No Rapture
2) Were there one heretics wouldn’t qualify
3) You need to check for signs and messages in “True Grit”, that’s another Darby decoder ring.

Possibly thanks. However for Yom Kippur God not only wants men to repent but He supplies the means of repentance, and the notion of "redeemed" is associated with it. The Jewish Day of Atonement is always the same in their calendar but varies on ous, anywhere in the last part of September to October. By the way I was born that day as well, kind of cool

Who does it benefit to believe Christ does not reign today over heaven and earth?
Who does it benefit to believe the Gospel will not prevail in this life?
Who does it benefit if we "Christian soldiers" stop "marching as to war?"
I just don't understand the inherent pessimism of dispensationalism. The earth and everything therein were created for Christ's sheep. We may be thwarted, but we will never be defeated.
"Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine" -- Exodus 19:5
And what has God's voice told all men to obey for the past 2,000 years?
"Believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light." -- John 12:36
"That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him" -- John 5:23

So, who benefits
(Cui bono?)[1] by preaching as a certainty the global triumph of evil?
Res ipsa loquitur.
The matter speaks for itself. To ask the question is to answer it.
I still wonder why the prophecy pimps, doomsayers, and fortune tellers never see anything good ahead in our generation? What darkness lurks in their hearts, to so blight the bright sunlight of God's providence at work around us today?
[1]
Cui bono ("To whose benefit?", literally "as a benefit to whom?", a double dative construction) is a Latin adage that is used either to suggest a hidden motive or to indicate that the party responsible for something may not be who it appears at first to be.

Just to be clear, we all believe Jesus will LITERALLY return to Earth and that day lies in our future. And he will PERSONALLY rule.
No?

Just to be clear, we all believe
- Jesus will LITERALLY return to Earth and that day lies in our future.
- Yep. That's a no-brainer, that's been believed by all Christians since the beginning. To claim otherwise is to identify oneself as a non-Christian.
- And he will PERSONALLY rule.
- However, He is personally ruling now
- directly, over the lives of believers
- indirectly, through the ministries of godly fathers, elders, and magistrates. Of the increase of His government and of His peace there will be no end. The Gospel is at work now, today, blessing people, families, churches, and nations that pledge allegiance to the King -- and unblessing people, families, churches, and nations that think they can ignore the King.
I do, with joy, anticipate my own physical resurrection at the end of time, when Jesus returns. That's my long-term expectation. Short-term, I look forward to the job God has for me to do. Intermediate, I look forward to influencing grandkids and students. What I do today will make a difference in the 22nd century.

They just dont see how their literal when convenient/allegorical otherwise knife cuts both ways
Satan's butterknife against God's Word? Not hardly...
"For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart".
When will you take this literal...
"The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned".
To: Lee N. Field; topcat54
Reminiscent of children on hard drugs.
That’s where replacementeers will forever be.
Never offering serious analysis, and going bonkers when serious analysis is presented; discussion with such is a handshake with a pit viper.
