LOL! Exactly :-)
“I have always been told that anyone that continually makes fun of other people usually has low self esteem and an inferiority complex.”
Not so.

OK...prove or disprove that God is.

Dear Ask Rommy Column, Year of our lord Joseph Smith 206
Dear Ask Tommy,
Another annoying member said
“A letter from a mormon bishop informing the members that the theme for this year is Making the Temple the Great Symbol of Our Faith.
Yeah, yeah, yeah: but what about JANUARY??
I STILL haven’t received the latest memo!
Are ANTIs tampering with my mail?
Signed
MormonDude(You know me, I’d rather starve my children than not send in my tribute errr tithe)
Dear MormonDude,
Yes it is possible that the hateful Antis ate your mail.
We are never wrong and never late mailing out your tithing settlement bills errr new revelation.
Please have your children fill themselves up by drawing annoying errr annoited pictures of the temple and bring a talk on the wonders of the Symbol of our Faith at your Monday night FTE during January.
You will receive a memo for February if I have to personally ah send someone to you with it.
Where was it you lived ? Hawaii ?
I might even come myself. I would sacrifice for the Church in that fashion.
You would of course be asked to underwrite all costs for first class airfare, 6 star lodgings, luaus, hula dancing girls err yes well etc as a faith promoting blessing for you and your children.
Living ever to bless the LDS
Tommy
I guess the hacker and the polygamy thread kinda petered out for everybody.
My, what cute little two twos ...
I know you didn't. And I know you chimed out but lots of us are playing catch up.
...and He has, enormously and continually :-)
from your link to the Pres. site....I found this so condescending to even suggest adults would send the Pres. of their Oraganization “warm Fuzzy’s” ..as if they are five year olds.!
Quoting from the page:
“Leave a Warm Fuzzy
We invite you to join... “the Warm Fuzzies Movement”... by doing acts of kindness and service, and then to represent your service, submit a Warm Fuzzy from now through the end of the year. In January, well send your Warm Fuzzies to President Monson. Click here to leave your warm fuzzy.”
I saw that too. I’m dry heaving at the memory.
Mormon "hospitality" ... nice to you face-to-face... & then you notice the "tithe settlement" round-up -- where Lds Inc has this pipeline running directly into Mormon bank accounts...
And from this pipeline, a certain portion is devoted to the "attack Christians" coffers.
I don't think Restornu or DU "gets" it.
Analogy:
Let's say DU is 19 again.
Let's say his fiance was a member of another [non-Lds] church in another town.
And say, once a month she would arrive at DU's home and they'd both proceed to head off to a pre-marital counseling program started by your local bishop.
And let's say that every time DU's fiance would talk to his family members, she would accumulatively find out what this bishop really thought of her...in fact, she pieced together various comments that your bishop thought she was...
...a "blasphemer..."
...an "apostate..."
..."corrupt..."
..."of Anti-Christ..."
...and her most cherished beliefs were an "abomination"...
...Oh sure, these "comments" weren't usually directed to her one-on-one in her face...
...but accumulatively, from talking with DU's family members, they would document that these were the exact terms he used...
...and these were just the most common...there were other terms, a few worse...
...and then when she directly confronted the bishop if these things were true, he didn't deny any of them.
Now do you honestly think for a moment, that a fiance's argument to his "bride"...
...when he persistently failed to defend her before the bishop or before his family members...
...an argument that for every one of these critiques the bishop said of her...
...he happened to say 1,000 things positive about other subjects that nothing that have to do with her...
...is going to give you "brownie points" in her eyes?
Wouldn't that actually make things worse? I mean, if Mormons were right -- that their leaders don't spend the rest of their time downgrading anybody else -- well, doesn't that mean in this analogy that the bride-to-be has been singled out for the harshest treatment that the bishop would dish out upon others?
The "bride to be" in this account is the "Bride of Christ," His church.
The accusations of your leaders are hurled at the bride of Christ.
And yet Mormons continue to defend the bishop in this account, and NOT the honor of the Bride.
Tell us, DU, what kind of a bridegroom does that make you? (Especially in her eyes?)
Well, I was going to suggest a Mormon muffin, which is a real thing and very tasty, but when I went to look for a picture, well...let's just say Mormon muffins are not just for breakfast any more.
Hey! NO! Stop Googling right now!
For nearly five decades he [Monson]has offered living water to those so desperately in need. Church members from Tahiti to Germany have watched him, followed him, and been taught by him with words that speak spirit-to-spirit
Hey, WE should joint the “warm fuzzies” movement (snicker snicker)

Celebrating Eve
Lds apostle Dallin Oaks wrote: “Some Christians condemn Eve for her act, concluding that she and her daughters are somehow flawed by it. Not the Latter-day Saints! Informed by revelation, we celebrate Eve’s act and honor her with wisdom and courage in the great episode called the Fall.” (”The Choice that Began Mortality” Liahona, 2002)
