Mother of God. She must be really old. Um, where is the term *Mother of God* found in Scripture?

It's sad to see all the hoops RC's jump thru to escape the obvious that Mary had other children. She was actually married to a husband, not a room mate.

All this fuss over a theologically irrelevant doctrine too boot.

Me thinks that the early church might have framed Mary in this way to attract the goddess worship crowd like in Ephesus.

Yes, it does appear that was part of the equation then. When one sees the Haitians practice of the catholic faith it is more voodoo and spirit worship wrapped in the cloak of the catholic faith, but in reality they are practicing voodoo. ..... So not surprisingly the early church would have attempted to bring in the Pagan Goddess followers by 'framing' Mary as superior to their "queen mother"...which they called their Goddess.

oh, do you believe that Jesus was God or not?

Do you believe that Jesus was 100% man and 100% God, both natures irrevocably and completely intertwined, that he was not a man who became God and he was not just a spirit but a real man and he was not a created being and not a sub-god?
