the early church might have framed Mary in this way to attract the goddess worship crowd like in Ephesus.

Yes, it does appear that was part of the equation then. When one sees the Haitians practice of the catholic faith it is more voodoo and spirit worship wrapped in the cloak of the catholic faith, but in reality they are practicing voodoo. ..... So not surprisingly the early church would have attempted to bring in the Pagan Goddess followers by 'framing' Mary as superior to their "queen mother"...which they called their Goddess.

Just enough Jesus added to give it the appearance of legitimacy. Kind of what the Catholic church allows anywhere.

That even appears to be what happened in the early years of the Catholic church as its doctrine was being established, between the writing of the NT and Constantine.

The problem is, luring people in with half-truths and lies corrupts the message and the lies are never purged but become part and parcel with the doctrine.

You do realise that that is the same argument used by atheists to say that the entire "Son of God" and "dying and rising" is a myth -- they compare it to the numerous sons of Olympians gods, to the numerous examples of gods dying and rising (Osiris, Baal etc). Once you go down the path of reasoning you have stated, it ends with doubting Christ.
