In Christ Alone lyrics
Songwriters: Getty, Julian Keith; Townend, Stuart Richard;
In Christ alone my hope is found He is my light, my strength, my song This Cornerstone, this solid ground Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace When fears are stilled, when strivings cease My Comforter, my All in All Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone, who took on flesh Fullness of God in helpless Babe This gift of love and righteousness Scorned by the ones He came to save
?Til on that cross as Jesus died The wrath of God was satisfied For every sin on Him was laid Here in the death of Christ I live, I live
There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory Sin?s curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine Bought with the precious blood of Christ
The bible tells us that Mary was like all the other disciples, no less, no greater. Why should I know anything “about you”? Is the thread about you?

Accepted; I would extend the same apology to you in the same spirit.
I am also sorry that you believe as you do.
Fair enough. I would, however appreciate your responses to the half dozen statements I made in rebuttal to your previous post.
Another picture posted without context from yet another Catholic website? Very good. Does this picture even exist except as a photoshop?
Hint: the answer is that this is an unattributed or photoshopped picture from an anti Catholic website. We’ve had no experience from the anti Catholics making up pictures on this board, have we?
Actually, Scripture is silent on his status - whether ordained or not. We also know that the Holy Spirit made examples of them a little later on, so that would lead me to believe that Ananias had a little higher position than simply an ordinary joe.
Way to stand your ground, GG. I find that so many Bible Believers (tm) really don't know what's in Scripture except for the handful of coupon clippings that they adhere to. This week, in this particular church, with this particular pastor. Next, month, all bets are off...
Got it. Ananias and Sapphira are Apostles, right? How about Aeneas and Tabitha? Simon the tanner? Don't forget Cornelius - he has most of a chapter about him. Now, who can forget the Apostle (and part time Roman Emperor) Claudius?
No wonder the Reformed are declining on a daily basis across the world.
How many times do we have to answer this? As many times as it takes, I guess.
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Does your KJV or your Geneva Bible not call them the Gospel?
How typical. Yawn.
Are you addressing this to me? I mean, the only time I have ever gone to the mods is in dealing with the anti Catholic hater speech false oath of the KofC. I'm not the one whining, crying and stamping my little feet.
They can't teach it. They've painted themselves into a corner. How can you claim to have all kinds of special powers and authority if the simple Truth is believe The Gospel and you are saved. Things such as the treasury of merit, indulgences, purgatory, and works such as giving their church money become meaningless.
Instead what has happened is they teach dependence on them (the church). The church becomes the conduit of their salvation. As a result defense of their church becomes the same as defending their faith.
God willing, they will seek the answer elsewhere.
We know God is sovereign and God will have all He intends to have. Those that God wants at some point after hearing the question "what is The Gospel" will seek the answer. Those that want pats on the back for being faithful to their church will find out how serious their error is at the White Throne Judgment.
Fortunately, they still have the scriptures which contains the saving Gospel. God can still witness to those who have ears to listen.
Potty language, and all references to potty language, are not tolerable on the Religion Forum.
Thanks for sharing your views, dear brother in Christ!
“Fair enough. I would, however appreciate your responses to the half dozen statements I made in rebuttal to your previous post.”
Mark, I believe our positions are clear enough, and one of us is wrong, yet there is, of course, a wideness in God’s mercy, and no doubt He will continue to work in us. In Christian love, therefore, I think it wise to heed Proverbs: “When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable, But he who restrains his lips is wise.”
And there you have it in a nutshell. Jesus becomes a window dressing at that point; something to give legitimacy to the system of works they have established to replace the Law that God gave.
No system of works, rules, regulations, and ceremonies man sets up in it's place is going to save if the Law God Himself gave doesn't.
I have no idea what you are talking about and not surprisingly neither do you.
Are you suggesting that God "revealed" lies and forgeries to build His Church?
BTW I'm a Unitarian.
