In Christ Alone lyrics
Songwriters: Getty, Julian Keith; Townend, Stuart Richard;
In Christ alone my hope is found He is my light, my strength, my song This Cornerstone, this solid ground Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace When fears are stilled, when strivings cease My Comforter, my All in All Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone, who took on flesh Fullness of God in helpless Babe This gift of love and righteousness Scorned by the ones He came to save
?Til on that cross as Jesus died The wrath of God was satisfied For every sin on Him was laid Here in the death of Christ I live, I live
There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory Sin?s curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine Bought with the precious blood of Christ
It is now getting silly ....I got the question wrong? Nope, you had no scriptural word from Jesus to hold up your argument...
A question cannot be wrong, it can only be a question..an answer can be wrong. What is your doctorate in? Just wondering, but you don't have to answer, that is your right..have a great week, hope you have good weather as I hope I do also...:O)
Fascinating link. Lots to read. Thanks, OR.
That’s far from proven at all—who ACTUALLY INTERNALLY ASSUMED WHATEVER.
We have only symbols on the screen to infer from what SEEMS to be the case.
Given that . . . My assertions are most plausible and much within the rules.
We realize that many RC’s seem given to assuming all manner of junky stuff.
I noted what SEEMED to be some assumptions based on language used.
Denial of facts may be an RC Station of the Stations of the White hanky.
It’s not very admirable.
Night night. bushed.

Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
What gospel are we to preach?
One more time. What is THE Gospel?
((((Crickets)))
Could it be they really have no answer to that question? Rome teaches them what saints to pray to for this and that, and how many indulgences get this many days off purgatory, but Rome does not equip them to articulate the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel preached by Jesus Christ.
God willing, they will seek the answer elsewhere.
Yep. The Scriptures reveal the Gospel. Without eyes to see, both are missed.
Spare me your fractured fairy tales version of medieval history. There were nearly a dozen holy days of obligation in Germany at the time. Martin Luther chose only one of them as the occasion for a new beginning, Halloween.
Halloween was for the Celtic peoples the eve of the festival of Samhain, Lord of the dead. The Celtic year ended on the eve of Samhain. For the Pre-Christian peoples, Samhain was both the "end of summer" and a festival of the dead. It was the biggest and most significant holiday of the Celtic year. It marked the end of one year or era and the beginning of a new one and the pagan symbology was not lost on Luther.
GG - Anyone reading these exchanges can see someone has her big girl pants on tonight and has taken it upon herself to play acting assistant to the religion moderator again. Anyone with any familiarity with the actual rules knows enough to put her on ignore.
...in which thereafter Christ Himself fills justt as He said He would do for those who come to Him. There are far too much and many distractions occuping the hearts and minds of believers in the catholic church, for the most part, which fill areas where Christ desires His place over that os so many and varied rituals and practices, which appear to make catholics feel religious. These get in the way of Christ and His Lordship over ones life.
Question #10: What day is it?
Answer: Today is Thursday.
That would be an example of getting Question #10 wrong.
This is also an example of how Roman Catholics divert the discussion into nonsense.
Paul was an apostle of Jesus Christ. The Scriptures call Paul an apostle. The RCC catechism calls Paul an apostle.
Is the Roman Catholic church wrong?
If so, you might inform these people...
Relax, don't get so excited. It isn't a how to book.
Nope just a reminder to those that forget...Oh please, ignore me, its getting boring..thats why I *
No, I didn’t.
I do agree with you that too many names are given to this blessed spirit filled woman....God gave her the best name, full of grace and the greatest honor, mother of Jesus...as far as the test of your post...*
Mary was not, however, anyone's "co-redeemer," "mediatrix," "dispensatrix of all grace," "queen of heaven," nor was she bodily assumed into heaven because she was supposedly sinless.
To believe those lies is idolatry. Flee from it.
You offer no Scriptural support for your opinions. You exhibit no defense of your faith. You make no argument of substance for or against anything.
All you do on these threads is post smarmy, personal comments which are against the rules of the FR Religion Forum.
Thankfully, lurkers are not stupid. They recognize your posts for what they are -- hot air, nastiness and an ignorance of Scripture.
Well here the Vatican website calls Paul an Apostle....either spoken by the Pope Himself or someone important...this was in his speach outside a building named for Paul.
...”You are the chosen instrument of God, St Paul, APOSTLE, the preacher of truth in all the world”. And in the brief Reading, taken from the opening address of the Letter to the Romans, Paul introduces himself as “apostle by God’s call, set apart for the service of the Gospel” (cf. Rom 1:1). The figure of Paul his person and his ministry, the whole of his life and his hard work for the Kingdom of God is entirely dedicated to the service of the Gospel. In these texts one notices a sense of movement where the protagonist is not man, but God, the breath of the Holy Spirit, that impels the Apostle on the highways of the world to bring the Good News to everyone: the promises of the Prophets are fulfilled in Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God, who died for our sins and was raised for our justification. Saul is no longer, instead there is Paul, indeed there is Christ who lives in him” .
