TN,
Quick, your computer must have the White Horse Prophecy Mormon Virus. It keeps posting the same thing over and over and over and over. Same virus Paragon nonDefender seems to have, come to think of it. :-)

I’ve previously read through those sources and none of it contradicts what I’ve read here. [FourPeas to MadRepublican]

Uh oh, MadRepublican.

As your FREEPER posts' technician, these symptoms can only mean one thing.

Do you want the good news first or the bad news?

The bad news? (OK)

The bad news is that your posts have Paragon Defenders 'IMLegion-of-the-air' disease

They are all void of actually addressing what's being said.
Meaning they are all devoid of relevant content.
Meaning they are empty.
Meaning they are straw man arguments.
Meaning these arguments are being embodied -- or possessed -- by viral spirits known as 'IMLegion-of-the-air'

You want the good news now?

MadRepublican, you're not Paragon Defender!
At least. Maybe not. Or maybe not yet.

Hi Colofornian, When I pray, I pray to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, but I don’t see any problem with anyone saying they worship Jesus Christ. He is the Saviour of all mankind, so he is absolutely worthy of worship.

So, since your jesus is not the same God as your "father"...you worship two gods???? jesus + Elohim?

How do you square that with either the Bible or most of Mormon "scripture" about worshiping one God?

And since Mormon 7:7 says to worship the Holy Ghost, do you honor Mormon 7:7 -- or disregard that supposedly "sacred" "scripture?"

Do not accuse another Freeper of telling a lie - it attributes motive, the intent to deceive. It is "making it personal."

Words such as "false" "wrong" "error" "misrepresented" do not attribute motive.

Also, do not make the thread about individual Freepers. That is also a form of "making it personal."

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.

If we don’t want them to look into it, why do I, as a so called “anti” duplicate your posts for you, and why do we as a group not only fully support your links but use then in our own citations when we, unlike you, actually substantiate what we say?

Hum...

Duplicate on occasion and then straw man attack or misrepresent. It’s a cutesy game to try to make a lurker believe the anti crowd “supports” the links. It may fool a few.

If you peruse the Free Republic religion forums you will notice a pattern. There’s a group of cultists, known as mormons. While you cannot see the magic underwear they wear as they type their posts, it (apparently) gives them powers to obfuscate and demean others with generalities, while avoiding ever giving a factual answer.

Beware their links to the perverted and historically condemned doctrines of demons - mormonism.

Many of us here are Christians, who believe the Bible, and consequently are posting to expose these perversions of the Scriptures and of the person of Christ. It turns out that cultists do not appreciate it when someone invalidates their experience.

Beware their attempts to style themselves as Christians, while denying the Church, the Savior, in fact, God, and making Them into a created things.

Beware their strawman arguments.

Beware their attempts to generalize while avoiding any:

...Facts
...Evidence
...Logical reasoning

They often try to portray Christians who are fulfilling the commands to expose evil as “bashers” or “anti-mormons”. This is convenient for them, but false.

Cute, mildly clever and completely false.

We LDS believe there is perfect unity and oneness in the Godhead with each member united in love, purpose, knowledge and wisdom — but that each member being a separate individual.

Jesus showed that the oneness was not a physical one when he prayed:

John 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us:

22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one

23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one;

Obviously the disciples were not going to become merged together into the same being as the Father and the Son — rather, they would become of one heart and mind — in perfect harmony with Jesus and his Father.

We LDS believe there is perfect unity and oneness in the Godhead with each member united in love, purpose, knowledge and wisdom — but that each member being a separate individual.

So take a mature Christian couple whose united in love, purpose -- and have been blessed by God with knowledge and wisdom. Plus, unlike God, they are physically one. So you're telling me that such a couple is more "one" than the Mormon godhead? Really? They are more unified because they are more multi-dimensionally one than the Mormon godhead?

(Ya can't have it both ways, Normandy. Mormons can't stubbornly insist upon and emphasis the "Godhead's" diversity and then, when challenged as I've just done, insist upon overwhelming unity...otherwise...there's not really many distinctions left between your godhead and the Trinity, which Mormon leaders have condemned as heresy)

Um, yeah that's it..

Or the simpler explanation is that Mormon information such as you post and we very often quote from, when dealt with rationally and without undue influence, is a “slam dunk” against Mormonism itself.

And since you have yet to prove or demonstrate by any means the “misrepresentation” or the “strawman”, well again when dealt with rationally it too is a “slam dunk” and does us much good.

So please continue, dozens of completely empty accusatory posts build a great case against Mormonism as well.

To get a Nerd Score of 99, one MUST have been a software writer analyst who had Sea Monkeys as a child; thinks Mensa costs way too much, rides a recumbent with a removable GPS system on it; knows π to 20 places and now, at night, in God's Country, checks for globular clusters with a 16" Ritchey-Chretien, while living off grid on the income from 47 patents!

And none of this has anything to do with the fact that all Mormons MUST buy the garments through the church and they have to have been made by a Mormon company.

What TBM would WANT their tingley parts covered by something a GENTILE had touched anyway!

I would say "prove it" again but since MHG documented their work for information available on the Mormon sources you provide you lost that one before you could even type the "W" in what...

Now make your cute "no I didn't" post and run on...

And, having been there, garments are NOT a reminder to ‘keep chaste’, they are a reminder of BLOOD OATHS taken in the Temple.

Temple Recommend Questions

13 If you have previously received your temple endowment:

Do you keep the covenants that you made in the temple?
Do you wear the garment both night and day as instructed in the endowment and in accordance with the covenant you made in the temple?

It couldn’t be easier. Try it and see.

Tell us, PD, just ONE 'truth' that any of your links contain, that is NOT found, already, in the BIBLE?

I didn’t say ALL Mormons...quit twisting my words. It was a broad-based statement, and you know it. Obama had a larger base of support from Catholics and evangelicals than Mormons, period. As for Mormons? I have said for YEARS that I believe that Joseph Smith found the golden plates about twenty minutes after he found the golden mushrooms...but I am not going to spend every waking minute of my life persecuting them. It is no wonder so many people have a low opinion of ‘Christians’. Narrow is the way, and all that...
