They got rid of Bennett in Utah and successfully fought the homosexuals in California. Romney is hardly a screaming liberal and one would vote for him over our current “Divine One.” I am merely saying ignore Mormon theology and get their support politically and socially. They are in large numbers in California, Nevada, Utah, Idaho and Arizona. That amounts to 10 Senate seats.
Then HOW do they get elected?
By LIBERALs, who couldn't care less about their religion,
or by MORMONs, who couldn't care less about their politics?
“I know that generally people say lds are conservative, however I can not think of a single well know elected lds who is conservative.”
Jason Chaffetz,is one from Utah.
Jason Chaffetz from Utah, congressman. Ezra Taft Benson (ultra-conservative, alas, deceased.) Rob Bishop, congressman from Utah. Mike Crapo, Idaho US Senator: 92% rating from the ACU (not bad.) Jeff Flake: 100% ACU rating (Arizona congressman). James Gibbons: 96% ACU rating (Nevada congressman). Mike Lee, current candidate for the US senator from Utah (we booted Bob Bennett this year.) Orrin Hatch: watch out.
And I know many on this site detest Mitt Romney. I am on the fence about Romney, however I sure would rather have someone in the presidential office who knows something about business and life.
