Art Vanick on Glenn Beck and Mormonism
Out of Mormonism ^

Posted on 10/04/2010 12:57:36 PM PDT by Amerisrael

Art Vanick, co-author of The Spalding Enigma, Who Really Wrote The Book of Mormon, makes an appearance on Out of Mormonism to address the Glenn Beck Restoring Honor Rally.

Andy, Art, and Roger discuss the ramifications of the rally from a biblical Christian perspective.

Do Christians understand that Mormonism is different than biblical Christianity?

[ These are two separate "Out of Mormonism" radio podcasts from Mesa, Arizona. Very interesting.]

While Mormonism may not pose the violent / stealth and political threat that Islam does, from a spiritual standpoint, it is just as dangerous.

Yep - you have to watch out for those stealth bicyclists.

When I see a “approved christian” leading America towards God that has Glenn’s following I will worry about the threat of Mormonism.

hile Mormonism may not pose the violent / stealth and political threat that Islam does, from a spiritual standpoint, it is just as dangerous.

Then why run Romney, (again), if they aren't a political threat as well as a spiritual threat? Why fill various offices in our Government if they are not a political threat. Their own teachings emphasize their agenda is to do just that and affect the policies of this nation...and they certainly have an agenda to do just that. It is a mistake to think Mormonism isn't a political force to be reckoned with...the problem is so much in what they do and say is "hidden" and deceptive. Romney isn't called "Plastic Man" for nothing.

Their whole manner of operation is deceptive...make no mistake about that, any who swallow their bait does so to their fate. LDS is positioning itself among the religions of the world..from Islam to Catholicism, Hinduism etc. it will be as much involved with the merging of faiths as all the others...and that for political gain and the powers that be when the time comes.

some ideas that mormons have about stockpilling food for a year’s worth and rotating it are very good ideas to have. Maybe they are afraid of it because they will be an obstable in their fascist takeover of america.....?

Theologically Mormonism is silly. However, politically and socially Mormons are generally conservative-yes Wilma I’m aware of Reid! Politics is of this world. Therefore, seek their political and social support ignoring Mormonism’s theological problems. “We hang together or we hang separately.”

from what I understand is that once you die and go to heaven youare given your own world to act as god over, yet there is still THE GOD who created the universe and is still GOD over you. But my information may be flawed.

Yeah, some came to my neighborhood yesterday and they were tossing molotov cocktails off their bikes burning down all of the non-mormon houses and churches.

Do I really need a sarc?

Not a political threat in terms of “Sharia”.

In part you may be correct but the god was a man who progressed to become god (somehow). He has a wife and they produced spirit children. One has to ask who created him/her to start with?
The lds god is not The Eternal God the Alpha and Omega.

I know that generally people say lds are conservative, however I can not think of a single well know elected lds who is conservative.

If you’re really interested, ask an honest Mormon to explaint he fundamentals of their belief in eternal progression. You see, matter is eternal, but the Father of Jesus and Lucifer was once a man like us and progressed through exaltation to become God. An honest Mormon will admit they believe matter pre-existed God the Father. So, that isn’t a Christian perspective.

They got rid of Bennett in Utah and successfully fought the homosexuals in California. Romney is hardly a screaming liberal and one would vote for him over our current “Divine One.” I am merely saying ignore Mormon theology and get their support politically and socially. They are in large numbers in California, Nevada, Utah, Idaho and Arizona. That amounts to 10 Senate seats.

Romney is a liberal. All you have to do is look at his governing. Getting rid of Bennett is not naming a conservative elected lds. Are you saying that lds have enough votes to change elections in these states? They don't but if they did then why are there so many liberals in these states. The lds theology is dangerous to the soul.

I honestly think that articles like this are just a platform for some to “tout” their theological knowledge.

While most of the arguments are adiaphron.

When Mormons gain complete control of the US and force everyone to comply I will start worrying.

When Mormons kill 3000 people at once let me know and I will start worrying.

As dangerous as Sharia??????

Your Statement: "The lds theology is dangerous to the soul."

Agreed. However, the Good Lord will take care of that. Our goal is to get their votes in this world! Mormons are not as bad as "The Divine One" and his Apostles. You know you would vote for Romney over "The Divine One," I would and I don't support Romney today. I've said all I can on this issue be pragmatic as far as possible.

(mormonism)...Not a political threat in terms of “Sharia”.

You are in error on that matter.....LDS is kissing fanny with Islamic leadership. But of course the general membership would likely not be privy to that information unless presented as a "tolerance" issue to those of other faiths....the 'be nice to everyone crowd and they'll be nice to you.'....Unfortunately that is not how Islam looks at Mormons and they never will....however they will put on a good show...they always do.

Islamic leaders know that Mormons can be lead by the nose...they are already set up for that....and they know that Mormon leadership is interested in "peace" between them. (Though one should not loose sight that "Peace" to a Moslem is only thru Islam.) At any rate...Islam is interested in LDS co-operation...for obvious reasons they go after any groups where individuals can be easily mis-lead. Any who think that Islam leadership is foolish or dump has vastly underestimated their deception and their manner of achieving acceptance.

Sharia law would fit nicely into LDS in the beginning....minus the violence...the woman have their place, the men have their's and there are many rules and regulations in both Islam and Mormonism....the list could go on of the similarities...Islamic leadership identifies LDS as fertile ground for them...it is just a matter of time.
