As a Catholic deacon, I believe the faith I hold is the fullness of the faith. That said, for me to think that my understanding of God, and even that of my faith, is a perfect vision of God is to put him into a convenient box. Simply because Beck, or someone else for that matter, may have IMO an imperfect understanding or vision of God, does not make his prayer less efficacious. Jesus himself often pointed to real faith coming from someone outside the box, so to speak. Sorry, but I disagree with the writer of this article. Funny thing is, we'll all too soon get to find out just how much our understanding and perceptions and creeds pale in the light of Almighty God.

Which goes along with what has been shown elsewhere on FR about the Roman Catholic faith, that in it is universalist.

Do you think that Mormonism is Christian?

The Catholic Church is very explicit regarding mormonism - it does not consider it to be a Christian faith and will not accept their baptism. It is not so much an 'imperfect' understand of God, but a false belief in a 'god', one among many other 'gods'.

For several days I've considered your words and I just wanted to back track a like to say thank you posting them.

I'm sure God has blessed you many times in your life for your courage and wisdom. The churches (what ever the denomination) all need more deacons like you sir!
