grits ain’t for everybody, not even every Texan

I used to hate the very idea of grits, then we had a New Year's party a few years ago and were served some kind of shrimp stuff on grits... it was spectacular and I've been hooked on grits ever since. Buttered, cheesed, gravyed... argh, now I'm hungry.

well... grits. If you haven’t had them, you can’t understand them. Then some who have had them, still can’t understand them. Then some never try them in the first place, thinking they just can’t be edible. then some try them and are convinced that they’re not edible. Others try them and go, Oh this ain’t so bad! and still others just out and out like them. Just goes to show, not everybody is alike now doesn’t it

Shrimp 'n Grits is a Carolina specialty! I'd never even heard of it until I moved to Charlotte. It is spectacular.
