Many more Catholics voted Communist in Italy than Protestants did.

Italy is about 87% Catholic and 4% Protestant, more Catholics vote for EVERYONE in Italy than Protestants do.

Why is it so important to others that she’s nobody? Why are they so threatened by Mary?

Why is it so important to anyone that they would invent a straw dog out of thin air?

The question is meaningless simply because it doesn't apply to any poster on this thread.

Try again, the HRE was a quasi-hereditary elective MONARCHY, it never was a dictatorship.

LOL. Not sure what you're defending. If liberal-loving socialists who are Roman Catholic don't like to be thought of as liberal-loving socials, one would think all they have to do to change that perception is to STOP being a liberal-loving socialist.

why did, does, the Catholic church invest so much time and effort
on Liberation theology, that’s pure socialism which as you said, = fascism

" If it isn't in the Bible, it is not to be preached as Christian truth."

It was by the apostolic Tradition that the Church discerned which writings are to be included in the list of the sacred books. This complete list is called the canon of Scripture.

The Gospels are the heart of all the Scriptures because they are our principal source for the life and teaching of the Incarnate Word, our Savior.

We can distinguish three stages in the formation of the Gospels:

(1) The life and teaching of Jesus. The Church holds firmly that the four Gospels, "whose historicity she unhesitatingly affirms, faithfully hand on what Jesus, the Son of God, while he lived among men, really did and taught for their eternal salvation, until the day when he was taken up."

(2) The oral tradition. "For, after the ascension of the Lord, the apostles handed on to their hearers what he had said and done, but with that fuller understanding which they, instructed by the glorious events of Christ and enlightened by the Spirit of truth, now enjoyed."

(3) The written Gospels. "The sacred authors, in writing the four Gospels, selected certain of the many elements which had been handed on, either orally or already in written form; others they synthesized or explained with an eye to the situation of the churches, the while sustaining the form of preaching, but always in such a fashion that they have told us the honest truth about Jesus."

If it isn't in the Gospels it is not to be preached as Christian truth. Remember, Paul's mission was only to spread the Gospels to those with no foundation in the Old Testament. It was not to form the foundations of a new religion.

I pulled your post and then restored it.

It is technically not "making it personal" because you are not calling another Freeper, personally, a liar.

However, it pushes the envelope of finessing the guidelines because it refers to a single incident in the present, i.e. the "person" would be only thinly veiled. If it did not also claim a pattern of group conduct it would be finessing the guidelines.

The word "lie" attributes motive, the intent to deceive.

Use a different, less inflammatory word like "false" "wrong" "error" "misleading" etc.

It doesn't the Church can't always control the heretical actions of the clergy, the Reformation demonstrated that.

Once again, a post is made about “some preacher somewhere” smearing Catholics. Just as in a court of law, this is hearsay and has no credibility. Nor is the “pastor” or “church” ever referenced so that they can provide their side.

so there are different factions or sects, and/or differing opinions in the One True Church? Each with their own PIOS and each with their own leaders or popes, since they aren’t listening to the official one apparently, or are they? I understand from an earlier post their are also charasmatic Catholics, so they must believe in TOPIOS as well. Seems like the One true church is fractured

Actually, Jesus and whoever else was staying with them at the time would have been in the "bedroom." Except for the very wealthy, private bedrooms are a fairly recent development.

So if it was such that God wanted Mary to be honored for perpetual virginity, Jesus could have taught that about His mother instead of

Luk 11:27 ¶ And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed [is] the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.

Luk 11:28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed [are] they that hear the word of God, and keep it

Now, that is the story as it is told in the Bible

What I was speaking of was why Joseph never wanted to have sexual relations with Mary..Ohh he was an old man, he married because he was a widower and needed a mother for his children etc etc..

People seem to think that it makes sense to believe that Joseph and Mary had a "normal marriage" after the Nativity of our Lord, but the truth is that the Child removed any possibility of normal.

Why? Jesus was to be raised as any Jewish child was to be raised..He called himself the Son of Man.. or do you not believe that Jesus was FULLY MAN as well as FULLY GOD.. those were not roses in his diapers.. Jesus was to have a fully human experience on this earth, and that would have included a mother and a father that expressed their love physically , that had disagreements at times.. Parents that were fully human ..Jesus was to be tempted just as we are..so that would have to include some of the things that tempted us about our families

I have seen some of the old manuscripts reproduced that told stories of Jesus healing birds and exhibiting supernatural powers.. Silliness from some of the early church

St. Joseph and the Blessed Mother had intimate roles in the most incredible and unique event in the history of the world, having a normal life simply was not a viable option for them.

Joseph was a carpenter , Mary was a wife and mother.. simple and ordinary lives

But here is what we DO know, there is NOTHING that suggests that ANYONE other than Jesus Christ was born of Mary and the FACT that He entrusted her care to Saint John when He was on the Cross would indicate that she had no other children because it would have been unnecessary if she had other sons.

Whence hath THIS man this wisdom, and these mighty works? Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not ALL with us?" (Matt. 13:54-56)

John 2:12. Christ went to Capernaum, accompanied by "His mother, and His brethren, AND HIS DISCIPLES."

Galatians 1:18-19, Paul mentioned having seen not only Peter, but also James the Lord's brother in Jerusalem. We know that Paul was speaking of a brother in the flesh. If he had been speaking of a spiritual brother -- a brother in the faith -- he certainly would have included Peter among Christ's spiritual brethren. But he did not!

As to why Jesus sought Johns care of His mother may be found in this prophecy

Psalm 69:8 "I am become a stranger unto MY BRETHREN, and an alien unto MY MOTHER'S CHILDREN.

We know that His siblings thought Jesus had lost His mind.. and came to get Him away from a crowd..

Once again this has no impact on our salvation.. it is only important if one makes a doctrine of faith out of it..then men are being asked to accept as a truth something that has no sure infallible foundation..

Saints James and Jude and others may have been the children of Saint Joseph from a previous marriage, they may have been cousins raised by the Holy Family, but there is NOTHING to suggest that they were born to the Blessed Mother.

I am so glad that I was not let down, here is one of those fables meant to explain other children for which there is no foundation..

Joseph loved Mary, he was not "sinless" he would have desired to have a physical relationship with her ..no matter how old he was or if he had other children.. for her to withhold that would have been a sin, a violation of their covenant.. this causes a problem for a sinless Mary

Some preacher somewhere. Sorry but you can’t hand out personal information on FR, the mods tend to frown on it. Or maybe you’d like to had out yours when you get finished in front of the supreme court.

Your own posts condemn you in that it’s not some made up story about protestants. Read your own posts you’ll see it.

If you are not now “in his hand,” then you will never be.

Is this from the saved or doomed in the womb theology?

He saved his own 2000 years ago; he is not waiting to save more.

Then this thread, not to mention Christ's ministry is moot.

lol, hearsay, made up gossip, unacceptable evidence in a court of law. one or two people hereon are the chief purveyors, and routinely announce these fractured fairy-tales, wide-eyed and indignant entertaining a group of people that demand others document every word they post.

Satan uses Scripture for his "proof" as well.

And when Satan tempted Jesus with scripture, how did Jesus answer ?
1)with tradition?

2) with scripture ?
