The ultimate intention of Catholicism is the restoration of the Holy Roman Empire. That has always been the ambition, at least covertly, but now it is being promoted overtly and openly.
The purpose of this article is only to make that intention clear. It is not a criticism of Catholics or Catholicism (unless you happen to think a Catholic dictatorship is not a good thing).
The most important point is to understand that when a Catholic talks about liberty or freedom, it is not individual liberty that is meant, not the freedom to live one's life as a responsible individual with the freedom to believe as one chooses, not the freedom to pursue happiness, not the freedom to produce and keep what one has produced as their property. What Catholicism means by freedom, is freedom to be a Catholic, in obedience to the dictates of Rome.
The Intentions Made Plain
The following is from the book Revolution and Counter-Revolution:
"B. Catholic Culture and Civilization
"Therefore, the ideal of the Counter-Revolution is to restore and promote Catholic culture and civilization. This theme would not be sufficiently enunciated if it did not contain a definition of what we understand by Catholic culture and Catholic civilization. We realize that the terms civilization and culture are used in many different senses. Obviously, it is not our intention here to take a position on a question of terminology. We limit ourselves to using these words as relatively precise labels to indicate certain realities. We are more concerned with providing a sound idea of these realities than with debating terminology.
"A soul in the state of grace possesses all virtues to a greater or lesser degree. Illuminated by faith, it has the elements to form the only true vision of the universe.
"The fundamental element of Catholic culture is the vision of the universe elaborated according to the doctrine of the Church. This culture includes not only the learning, that is, the possession of the information needed for such an elaboration, but also the analysis and coordination of this information according to Catholic doctrine. This culture is not restricted to the theological, philosophical, or scientific field, but encompasses the breadth of human knowledge; it is reflected in the arts and implies the affirmation of values that permeate all aspects of life.
"Catholic civilization is the structuring of all human relations, of all human institutions, and of the State itself according to the doctrine of the Church.
|
Got that? "Catholic civilization is the structuring of all human relations, of all human institutions, and of the State itself according to the doctrine of the Church." The other name for this is called "totalitarianism," the complete rule of every aspect of life.
This book and WEB sites like that where it is found are spreading like wildfire. These people do not believe the hope of America is the restoration of the liberties the founders sought to guarantee, these people believe the only hope for America is Fatima. Really!
In Their Own Words
The following is from the site, "RealCatholicTV." It is a plain call for a "benevolent dictatorship, a Catholic monarch;" their own words. They even suggest that when the "Lord's Payer," is recited, it is just such a Catholic dictatorship that is being prayed for.

First, in this country, freedom of speech means that anyone may express any view no matter how much anyone else disagrees with that view, or is offended by it. I totally defend that meaning of freedom of speech.
This is what Catholics believe, and quite frankly, I do not see how any consistent Catholic could disagree with it, though I suspect some may. I have no objection to their promoting those views, because it is what they believe. Quite frankly I am delighted they are expressing them openly. For one thing, it makes it much easier to understand Catholic dialog, and what they mean by the words they use.
Secondly, I think if their views were actually implemented, it would mean the end true freedom, of course, but I do not believe there is any such danger.
You post to me as though you think I am ignorant. FYI, my mother was Jewish. I know exactly what the scripture means. There was no need to be so graphic.
I have nothing further to say to you, Rennie.
My goodness that is a mouthful. For you to be able to state that implies that you have a thorough knowledge and understanding of pre-Christian paganism, eastern mysticism, and Catholicism. You haven't yet demonstrated or shown any competence in any of the three. Where did you study any of these?
Yes, it is cherry picking.
The saints are declared saints for ONE thing only—the heroic practice of virtue.
Didn’t you know that?
Ping
yes it is, it came to you from man from God who is a mystery
And how does it differ?
Christian mysticism is Christ centered and Non Christian mysticism is self centered.
Of course there is the NA movement which has been easily exposed by the Catholic Church since most if it comes from old heresies
What’s the NA movement?
That was well said. I benefit from everything that you post.
Some can only be driven out by fasting and prayer. But thank you for that.
Thanks much, Judith.
God, help me.
Thanks, Legatus. :-)
Now, now, you know that's not a fair question to ask of those who are apparently befuddled by what "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself" might mean (at least I haven't gotten an answer as to what the Calvinist interpretation might be), much less why it is "like to" the greatest commandment, to "love the Lord, thy God, with thy whole heart and with thy whole soul and with thy whole strength and with thy whole mind."

God, help us all.
Thanks — I just never saw it referred to by the abbreviation; I know more about it than I wish I did!
How true, Judith

I give you these beautiful Scriptures for this day, the Feast of the Guardian Angels. :-)
If anyone is expecting me to respond with something witty or sarcastic, sadly I must disappoint you.
O MOST MERCIFUL JESUS, lover of souls,
I beseech Thee, by the agony of Thy most Sacred Heart,
and by the sorrows of Thine Immaculate Mother,
wash clean in the Thy Blood the sinners of the whole world.
Remember most especially the soul I spiritually adopt
with the intention of entrusting him or her to Thy Shepherd's care:
I beseech Thee for the grace to move this sinner, who is in danger of going to Hell, to repent. I ask this because of my trust in Thy great mercy.
If it should please Thy Majesty to send me a suffering this day
in exchange for the grace I ask for this soul, then, it, too,
shall please me very much, and I thank Thee, Most Sweet Jesus,
Shepherd and Lover of Souls; I thank Thee for this
opportunity to give mercy in thanksgiving for all the mercies
Thou hast shown me. Amen.
Heart of Jesus, once in agony, have mercy on the lost... not that there are any of them here obviously, what with the elect demonstrating so clearly their transformation into new creatures. May the Divine Will of God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost be made manifest in the hearts of men, even in those who have divided the Essence of God through ignorance or malice.
Beautiful
Redemptive suffering
I wish I had a copy of it.
My printer is wacko right now
Just copy it into Word (or whatever WP program you have) and it’ll be easy to find when your printer recovers.
Perhaps this might help you.

What is Early Jewish and Christian Mysticism?
http://www.marquette.edu/maqom/definition.pdf
Excerpt..As a word, mysticism has a notorious reputation. Its polymorphic associations make precise meaning difficult to isolate, especially across cultures and eras. It is often used as an antonym for so-called rationalism, associated with so-called supernaturalism, in contradistinction to our contemporary scientific view of the world. Broadly speaking, it has come to describe for us organized practices used to illicit direct contact with the divine.
As an -ism, mysticism is not an emic word, a word actually used by ancient people to describe their experiences. It corresponds to no single term in the ancient literature. In fact, when the early Jews and Christians describe their mystical experiences in a single word, they do so most often by employing the term apokalypsis, an apocalypse or revelation.
And how does one know what god they are having contact with?
This is eastern mysticism that you defend.. a mystical meeting with god.
The god of this world loves the deception..at least he is god to someone
"now I realize what we all are. And if only everyone could realize this! I suddenly saw all the secret beauty of their hearts, the depths of their hearts where neither sin nor desire nor self-knowledge can reach, the core of their reality, the person that each one is in God's eyes. If only they could or see themselves as they really are. If only we could see each other that way all the time. There would be no more war, no more hatred, no more cruelty, no more greed
I suppose the big problem would be that we would fall down and worship each other."
