Different teaching. Different understanding. Apples and oranges.

As it was in all of the churches I mentioned.
They realized what unites the Christian is faith in Christ.

What separates Rome from Christianity is, well Rome. The same Rome that schmoozes with Muslims calls us heretics.

I think this thread is devolving into making it about a poster.

thanks thread nanny, but he posted it, not me. People who grow up in abusive homes recognize the potential when we see it

It doesn't matter who started it. Making the thread "about" an individual poster is a form of "making it personal."

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.

I have never made it a habit to be a hall monitor on this forum.

Nor do I run to the moderator.

If you want to call me names, I don’t mind. But I do mind every time one of these “discussions” turns into personal analysis, evaluation and commentary about another poster.

I also recognize the obvious convenience of forum anonymity.
Some things that are posted here would be very inappropriate, insulting, and frankly unChristian if we were speaking to one another face-to-face.

I’m sorry, no more comments from me. However, there are some people prone to posting about themselves and then exclaiming “don’t make this about me!” I never understood that

No, I am referencing those lost souls who bask in the sinful pride of private interpretation instead of relying on the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to guide their souls to eternal salvation.

Worship Jesus not self.

Do you mind when that "another poster" is a Protestant, and the personal analysis, evaluation and commentary is coming from Catholics?

I agree with you in a general sense. However, when a poster finds it necessary to post highly unusal personal information concerning their mental state they leave themselves wide open. Best to keep that kind of information to yourself.

Also, I can be mean and tough on this forum while, actually, I am a worn out old cripple. :-)

" If someone despises the Catholic Church,..."

Extraneous, immaterial, and baloney. What more can I say?

why would an individual Catholic expect decent treatment regarding a personal issue?

Why would an individual expect to post highly unusual personal information without raising eyebrows and inviting questions?

It’s his privilege to not respond.

True. Let's hope the lesson is learned.

“I’m a worn-out old cripple :-)”

I shall now hold that against you and make it a reference point for numerous future posts. :-)

Pointless question. The RM is always called in a hysterical fit, the poster warned, and the posts pulled. Even innocuous questions are deemed too personal, and even "dangerous."

Yes.

If that is actually what is happening.

Each of us gives witness to what are before the Lord with every word we write.

(*Slaps forehead*) What was I thinking? Of course, unseemly prurient curiosity is the perogative of the inquisitional proddie posters, and all their questions MUST be answered, or the poster is castigated and the worst possible explanation (no matter how unlikely or false) is then taken as gospel truth.

I have found that I cannot even express an opinion about a saint without a thousand vicious replies.

And, OR, I am not in the habit of engaging with you, so I will return to my silence where you are concerned. I have no doubt that you will make up something personal about me concerning that.

More baloney from the bologna factory

That's what I call bringing something meaningful to the table/s.

But since I have your attention, could you please tell me how can a "saved" Protestant lose his salvation.

I personally cannot fathom how I could even function as a Christian without the Holy Spirit. Even with Him, I fail miserably.

Why is it your fault since you deny free will?
