oh, sure, I checked the net too -- and the Inquisition in comparison to the other Medieval courts was easier.

Do all the research you like and ask the preachermen who told you those errors what they think of a 2% conviction rate? Ask them what they think of the number of 3000 to 5000 killed in 200 years too.

The Inquisition WAS bad, but it was nowhere near the level of those killed in the 30 years war and is laughable to compare it to a real tragedy like hte Holocaust.

CAn you find any proof or links to doubt those figures of 2% conviction rate and total executions = 3000 to 5000 over 200 years?

As I said -- If you read impartial history books you see that . Go to the statistics maintained by the Spanish government, go to Encyclopedia Britannica and you'll see the same numbers of 3000 to 5000 killed over 200+ years, of a 2% only conviction rate.

Can you name your sources?

So, repeating again -- check any impartial websites. If you want to cite your pastor or other lying website, that'll be a laugh to show how they play with truth.

what isn't a laugh is how your pastors and the others in various cults and sects and denominations outside The Apostolic Church manipulate believers like yourself. Your pastor lies to you about this and about the Popes on the Bible and you would ask yourself what else do they lie about?

Name your sites that you cite. Can you name ANY site that disputes the numbers of 3000 to 5000 executions over 200 years with a conviction rate of only 2%?

That's lesser than modern day courts.

And, your bits about the Popes are from lying websites, those pastors or whoever posted them on those websites that you read are lying to you --> check any IMPARTIAL books or websites and you would see. I already pointed out the lies about the Cathar, now you can find out the other lies that the various preachers and pastors from the denominations and sects and cults outside The Church tell you.

Matthew 5: 38”You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ 39But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. 41If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. 42Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

43”You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

We are not sheeple, we can think for ourselves.

I have NEVER heard of a pastor who has even so much as mentioned the Inquisition.

But considering the level of denial about it by Catholics, I’m nor going to take their word for what it was really all about either.

"That's lesser than modern day courts."

It is beyond hypocrisy to judge any of the many Inquisitions, both Catholic and Protestant alike, through a 21st century lens. Until the 19th century most crimes were capital crimes and incarceration was an overly expensive and infrequently used solution. Justice was not about rehabilitation, it was about punishment.

In this environment when taking ones property and taking ones life would surely result in a death sentence how much more serious was the taking of ones soul?

Not sure what you’re talking about,...

Let me offer a quick summary.

After the aristocrats took a dominant role in the RCC the idea that others may wish to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ differently was not tolerable. The control freaks at the RCC insist that unity in Christianity must be through them. It's not enough to trust the Holy Spirit will sort it all out, they are fixated on taking on that role.

"Traditions handed down from generation to generation does not come close to the real deal in Christ and His written word."

"... He made Peter the "Rock" upon which He would build His Church, ..."

Please note this is not what the Catholic Church teaches.

CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

424. "Moved by the grace of the Holy Spirit and drawn by the Father, we believe in Jesus and confess: 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.'[Mt 16:16 .] On the rock of this faith confessed by St. Peter, Christ built his Church.[Cf. Mt 16:18; St. Leo the Great, Sermo 4 3: PL 54,150 - 152; 51,1: PL 54, 309B; 62, 2: PL 54, 350-351; 83, 3: PL 54, 431-432.] 'To preach. . . the unsearchable riches of Christ'[Eph 3:8.]"

552. "Simon Peter holds the first place in the college of the Twelve;[Cf Mk 3:16 ; Mk 9:2; Lk 24:34 ; 1 Cor 15:5.] Jesus entrusted a unique mission to him. Through a revelation from the Father, Peter had confessed: 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' Our Lord then declared to him: 'You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.'[Mt 16:18 .] Christ, the 'living Stone',[1 Pet 2:4.] thus assures his Church, built on Peter, of victory over the powers of death. Because of the faith he confessed Peter will remain the unshakable rock of the Church. His mission will be to keep this faith from every lapse and to strengthen his brothers in it.[Cf. Lk 22:32 .]"

According to the CCC (Infallible-Yes?) the Church was built on the rock of the faith confessed by Peter never upon Peter himself.

Oh, and "universal" is small "c" catholic.

Explain the Immaculate Conception OF MARY, please. How were her parents NOT part of Adam's original sin?

Her parents WERE "part of Adam's original sin", as you put it. She, however, was given the singular grace of being preserved from original sin at the very moment of her conception in the womb of her mother, St. Anne. This gift was given to her in anticipation of the graces her Son would win on the Cross at Calvary. It was a unique gift meant for a unique woman. Of course Our Lord was also free from original sin, since He is the Son of God and not subject to sin. That would be an absurdity. The angel Gabriel calls her "full of grace" in the gospel of Luke. She herself says that "all generations will call me Blessed", and that "He who is mighty has done GREAT THINGS for me..."

We have to remember that Mary needed a savior, just like every other human descendant of Adam. She was saved beforehand, however, "in view of the merits of Jesus Christ..." as the encyclical states. She was preserved from all stain of sin, due to her immense dignity as the Mother of God.

"... as the encyclical states." That's it! That's all the proof needed. No Scripture? No matter! We have the "infallible" word of a man and that is all we need.

It's not whether you CAN think for yourselves; it's whether you DO.

But considering the level of denial about it by Catholics, I’m nor going to take their word for what it was really all about either.

How do you know it's denial if you haven't looked into the facts?

But, by all means, do not take our word for it. But DO look into the FACTS. That would be a rare and delightful step in the right direction.
