it describes LDS.

Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. 1 Timothy 1:4

yes it does doesnt it ???

that verse what was that oh yes...

It fits the mormons to a “T”

“Tall Tales” ???

Lucy Mack Smith tells about Joey’s Tall Tales

we know Smith’s mother, Lucky Mack Smith, said about her 17 yo son, Joseph Smith, Junior:

“During our evening conversations, Joseph would occasionally give us some of the most amusing recitals that could be imagined. He would describe the ancient inhabitants of the continent, their dress, mode of traveling, and the animals upon which they rode; their cities, their buildings, with every particular; their mode of warfare; and also their religious worship. This he would do with as much ease, seemingly, as if he had spent his whole life among them. On the twenty-second of September, 1824, Joseph again visited the place where he found the plates the year previous; and supporting at this time that the only thing required, in order to possess them until the time for their translation, was to be able to keep the commandments of God...he fully expected to carry them home with him. (Lucy Mack Smith, edited by Preston Nibley, History of Joseph Smith, p. 83, Bookcraft, Salt Lake City, 1958)

What Mormons often miss in this account is that Lucy Mack Smith was saying Joseph gave these storied details before he ever even “interpreted” these gold plates. [The context of her story is that Smith is age 17 & he’s about to retrieve the gold plates again a year after being given them...and he’s yet to interpret them]. A lot of it was either already there or influenced by other author(s) of his era — in his active, imaginative mind!

It is sad you never tasted the sweetness of the Holy Spirit in your life Which no living man can imitate.

Oh...Resty is reading minds again.

Can you read the dead mind of J. Smith?

He seemed to think he was at least equal to Jesus.

You know that part in mormon lore that says ya gotta walk past ol' J. Smith to get to heaven??????

Could you read his mind for me....because that would be interesting. Wait....should capitalize "his" there or not????

Thanks-

I don’t have to read it is by most of your own testimony of not understanding of this existence.

If most of you knew or recognized the Holy Spirit most of the things many have posted here on RF would not have been posted for it would go against the Holy Spirit!

If it goes against what you refer to as the holy spirit, and also is within the grasp of logic and reason as it is presented to the mind God gave us, then we are on the right track.

Resty, I've seen a number of Lds quotes in which they refer to the Holy Spirit as "it". If many Mormons can't even identify the Holy Spirit as a personal being -- and reduce Him to an impersonal force -- then those Mormons are no better off in understanding Him than the Jehovah's Witnesses.

(Are you going around to those Mormons & JWs teling them they've "never tasted the sweetness of the Holy Spirit in your life"? Or do you just reserve those sweeping judgments for certain FReepers?)

Are you talking about LDS sources? You know those direct quotes or LDS (so called) scripture, prophets, and other assorted leaders? Those things posted.
It would be interesting if you could comment on these direct issues rather than vagaries against the poster for a variety of nonsensical reason.
