The Short answer is: NO; and you can stop posting your Mormon spam here on FR..it would be appreciated!

SPAM?

I would think that SLC would LOVE more things told about MORMONism!

(Besides; this is the RELIGION forum of FR.)

Stay away if orthodoxy offends thee.

Some people here on FR are threatened more by good neighbors with good fences than they are a government infringing on their rights.

SOME folks on FR don't give a rat's patootie about their neighbor's soul and where it will spend eternity.

There is a day in our future when we will regret not forgiving our differences.

Oh?

Could you expand on this?

Nice strawman.
I am sure that you have nothing but the most loving and respectful intentions with your crusade against the LDS People.

Poor parsing.
NOTHING was said about the PEOPLE; but MORMONism.

Thank you I grew up in the 1950’s and I remember...

Too bad you do NOT remember what Joseph Smith learned to be UNTRUE about PRESBYTERIANism.

As we read the RF we see there are still those who have not grown to Love One Another!

Yep; I wonder why MORMONs are so mean to us Christians as well; but HIS grace is sufficient.

I’m not Mormon but I’d rather have one of the fine Mormon’s I’ve known backing me on a patrol than one of these OCD types.

If you get SHOT on that patrol and are death's door; who do you want PRAYING for you?

General evangelism alert!

NIV Philippians 4:3
Yes, and I ask you, loyal yokefellow, help these women who have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

NIV Revelation 3:5
He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.

NIV Revelation 13:8-9
 8.  All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast--all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.
 9.  He who has an ear, let him hear.

NIV Revelation 17:8
The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and will come up out of the Abyss and go to his destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because he once was, now is not, and yet will come.

Revelation 20

 1.  And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain.
 2.  He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.
 3.  He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.
 4.  I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
 5.  (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection.
 6.  Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.
 7.  When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison
 8.  and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth--Gog and Magog--to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore.
 9.  They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.
 10.  And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
 11.  Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.
 12.  And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
 13.  The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done.
 14.  Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.
 15.  If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

NIV Revelation 21:27
Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Is YOUR name written there?

Like I said, I am sure that you have only the most respectful and loving of intentions with your crusade against The LDS People. personal attacks, condescending attitudes, and other forms of derision are only weakening your arguments

Nope - the ARGUMENT is as strong as ever.

SOMEday some folks will say, "I didn't like the way the Messanger talked to me."

Christians are not the ones who started this fight back about 1829 when J Smith walked out of the woods claiming all churches were wrong and only HE had the truth and we had better obey him or else HE would stand in the door to heaven and keep out all those who didn’t have a pass from him.

And it's ENGRAVED on STONE in Temple Square!

Well; ACTUALLY, it's a PLAQUE attached to stone...

I grew up in the 1950’s and I remember how the average person held such view towards the other faith there was so much infighting in families and sometimes communities at special occasions as Weddings, and funerals.
____________________________________________________

The mormons still have that in the 2010s...

Some of the family can go to the wedding and they fight to keep the rest out of the ceremony claiming they are not “worthy” to see their own children wed...

Such unChristlike behavior..

Oh wait ...mormons are not Christians...

Never mind...

Unless it is a consensus by the 12 it is not LDS doctrine...

DANG!! Resty!

You appear to be WRONG yet again!

Is this on PURPOSE?

“The Journal of Discourses deservedly ranks as one of the standard works of the Church, and every rightminded Saint will certainly welcome with joy every number (issue) as it comes forth.“  (President George Q. Cannon, Journal of Discourses, Preface, Volume 8.)

“Each successive Volume of these Discourses is a rich mine of wealth, containing gems of great value, and the diligent seeker will find ample reward for his labor. After the fathers and mothers of this generation have made them the study of their lives their children’s children will find that they are still unexhausted, and rejoice that this Record has been handed down from their fathers to also aid them in following the way of life.”  (Apostle Orson Pratt, Preface. Volume 3.)

“It is impossible to give monetary value to the past volumes of this publication, … Those who read the utterances of the servants of God, contained in this book, under the same influence by which the speakers were inspired, cannot fail to receive profit from the perusal.”  (President Joseph F. Smith, Preface, Volume 18.)

“We take great pleasure in presenting to the Saints and the world the … the Journal of Discourses, which they will find contains rich treasures of information concerning the glorious principles of Eternal Life, as revealed through God’s anointed servants in these last days. All who read the discourses contained in this Volume are earnestly recommended to adapt them to their lives by practice, and we can confidently assure them that, in doing so, they are laying up a store of knowledge that will save and exalt them in the Celestial kingdom.”  (Apostle Albert Carrington, Journal of Discourses, Preface, Volume 15.)
