What must it feel like to have lost 50 years of your life? For that is what 61-year old Arthur Budzinski has endured.
Five long decades of personal pain.
And he has to rely on others to speak of his anguish.
It is made worse by the fact that no-one has been held to account for the sexual abuse he says he suffered as a child while at the Roman Catholic St John's School for the Deaf in St Francis, Wisconsin.
Arthur and around 200 other boys are said to have been sexually abused at the school by Father Lawrence Murphy, a Catholic priest.
He says he and others told members of the clergy back then that they were being watched, touched and exploited by Fr Murphy.
No-one listened.

OK, so we agree. What natural rights principle does Robert George use to demand that the government restrict the free association of homosexuals?
It would be if the evidence was that it had a long history and was widespread like the abusive priests phenomenon.
What, exactly, are you talking about?
Nevertheless, I think talking about "Presbyterian adultery camps" would be way out of line.
Which is why I don't do it.
My response is that I don’t buy into the Jesus meek and mild caricature. The truth always divides and Jesus warned it would happen and it wouldn’t be pretty. Your “iron sharpens iron” response is vague and ambiguous.
The evidence clearly points to a coverup by the Pope and the Vatican and other officials. Ignoring that for some putative unity is dangerous and harmful. Clearly, Romanists are reluctant to admit this because it destroys the very foundation of their religion. It is not love to sugar-coat this problem. To expose this sin in it’s starkest terms which could lead to repentance is love.
See the Manhattan Declaration.
Absolutely.
Which evidence? In what case? The Murphy case?
As the article I linked in post #100 makes crystal clear, the documents on the NY Times' own website demonstrate that, if there was any "coverup" in the Murphy case, it happened in Milwaukee, not Rome, and involved, not the Pope, but one of the worst bishops in American history ... an unchaste homosexual who was later discovered to have paid $400,000 in diocesan funds as "hush money" to his male lover.
So if you have this evidence which "clearly points" to something else, then publish it right here, because the NYT's evidence does not.
I already did. What about it?
that was because the offending priest lied to law enforcement telling them the deaf boys couldn’t have been victims because they were mentally retarted
Part of the problem with your example is that adultery happens between two consenting adults although a person in a high position could use that position to be abusive. An adult/child situation is always abusive.
And your statistics, even if correct, do not account for the damage 1 priest can cause with multiple victims.
Lie.
I just don't want to hear it from hyper-Calvinist Catholic haters, because their motive does not originate in Christian charity. They do not pray for the evil to be cleansed, and victims healed. They hope for the destruction of the entire Church.
Beyond that is the fact that the abuse is so widespread and touches every major metropolitan area and yet the Vatican acts as if it is unaware of the scope makes it unthinkable that a cover-up is not involved.
I'm not either, but I dare say we both know the difference between right and wrong. We are both fathers and I think you would agree that if a crime were committed against one of our children we would want who did it in prison.
What happens to the people that did nothing but cover it up?
We are on the same page. Any church that hides these crimes from the police deserves to be prosecuted.
I agree that these type of accusations were used against the Branch Dividians and could be used against churches in general, but being in a church doesn't mean protections of minors are checked at the door.
The problem is, as we can see here, the parishioners are complicit in the cover up.
I wasn't attempting to draw some sort of moral equivalency between adultery and abuse of a child. I was attempting to point out to you how offensive and inaccurate the term "Romanist pedophile camp" is.
Since you've made it clear that you have no actual knowledge of any such "camps," I'll rest my case.
