It's always interesting when they find this stuff but I never doubted the Biblical account anyway.

I’ve heard quite a few pastors and teachers. They all agree,”Every turn of the spade confirms scripture”.

Was the 2'nd temple's foundation in the same place as the first one ?
Yes, it's a great joy to see how everything in the bible is shown to the world to be true.

Among many events, persons and places, various archeological findings are seen to provide support for the existence of the sons of Jacob,
[6], and of
Joseph,
[7] and of Balaam the prophet,
[8] and that
Israelites once lived in
Egypt,
[9] and for other things mentioned in the Bible.
[10][11]More recent examples of archeological finds that attest to the veracity of the Bible include;
- In 1993 a 9th century B.C. inscription was uncovered by a team of archaeologists at an ancient mound called Tel Dan, in the north of Israel. Words carved into a chunk of basalt refer to the "House of David" as well as the "King of Israel." This is the first time that the name of the Jewish monarch has been found outside the Bible.
- In 1990 a small silver-plated bronze calf figurine reminiscent of the huge golden calf mentioned in the Book of Exodus was unearthed by Harvard researchers working in the ancient city of Ashkelon, north of the Gaza Strip.
- In 1986, the earliest known text of the Bible, dated to about 600 B.C. was found by archaeologists, which suggests that at least part of the Old Testament was written not long after events it describes.
- In 1986, an ancient seal was identified by scholars as belonging to Baruch, son of Neriah, the scribe who recorded the prophecies of Jeremiah approximately 587 B.C. http://www.astorehouseofknowledge.info/Bible#Authenticity
