In post #148, notice the word abomination. Maybe the ‘abomination of desolation’ is the setting up of the sacrificial alter in the Temple.
One "type" of the "abomination which causes desolation" stands on Zion this very day - and is chronologically sound in comparison to the prophecies of Daniel. That "abomination" has stood in Jerusalem in accordance with the prophecy, and seems to hallmark the "time of the gentiles." That type is the Dome of the Rock (or perhaps the Dome of the Tablets)...
Folks often are put off by the idea that the prophecy is multi-faceted - That a single prophecy is repeated in type, perhaps across generations, but that it isn't fulfilled until it is fulfilled precisely, and exactly.
IOW, Just because there have been types in the past, Antioch Epiphanes, the Dome of the Rock, and several others I could mention, it does not mean that the future fulfillment will not happen, with a precision that will be utterly astounding.
Folks need to remember that the Prophecy stands as a witness to ALL generations, and to each one in their time. It proclaims that God IS God. The Great I AM.
I am completely certain that the Prophecy has not been inactive since Christ's ascension. There is no "lull," waiting on the completing week. It just hasn't been seen by the sophists, whose "replacement theology" has left them blind.
All roads lead to Jerusalem.
That specific, detailed act by one man is not to be associated or confused with any other use of the word "abomination" in Scripture.
