My girlfriends baby sister needs prayer. Her name is Mindy and she's 7 months old. She is bleeding internally and they don't know why. She was rushed to a small local hospital today and they are now transporting her to a larger hospital in another city. Please pray!!!
Dear Lord,
We are lifting Mindy up to You in prayer.
Please hear our prayers and touch her
with Your healing touch.
In Jesus’ Holy Name.

The next day my daughter in law took him to his regular doctor and after some blood work sent them directly to the hospital for admittance..Cause of the bruising unknown, they gave him a battery of tests even tested for leukemia...He had to wear a helmet so as to not bump his head and bleed internally...(This disease I had to look up in my nursing book for proper spelling) He had idioticpathic throbocytopenic purpura) The platelets for some reason drop drastically and cause bleeding because there are not enough platelets to clot the blood...Cause unknown therefore the term Idiopathic. It for some reason just goes away, but blood tests were taken weekly for a while.. Hopefully this baby has something they can diagnosis quickly and be on the way to a cure....prayer for little angel....I believe that it is found mostly in very young children....cause still unknown as to why it happens. Hope it is something simple like that...
You are only the 2nd person I have ‘seen’ who has talked about this (ITP). My son developed it at the age of 9. I had never heard of it before but they diagnosed it as leukemia. Went through months of chemo. FINALLY, we took him to UC Davis to the pediatric hemotology/oncology. We got an appointment with the head of the department. What a godsend he was.
When I first took him to the doctor I was questioned unmercifully!
Even tho I was a nurse and worked in hospital I had never heard of it, but it was listed in my Lippincott manual of Nursing Practice. That book is 1500 pages thick. Good for research but still don’t know everything in it...
It was a very scary time for us. The pediatric hemotologist explained to us that the platelets developed antibodies and the spleen assumed they were bad so it just destroyed them. At one point his platelet count was only 7,500. Dr. said he was afraid the brain would begin to hemmorage but the liver was a backup system and unless, like you said, he had a head injury he would be fine. He did out grow it, thank goodness. Played sports and grew to adulthood with no further problems.
This bundle of gold will remain in my prayers.

Her sister told me last night that they were going to try a procedure on her, she couldn’t remember what the procedure was called. And if that didn’t work they would have to do surgery. She still doesn’t know what it is. I’ll probably find out sometime today more information and I”ll keep everyone posted. Thanks for the prayers!!!
