“Now there’s a good Christian response”
I’m not a good Christian. I’m just in a tentative alliance with them.

At least Jesus spared the French Quarter when He wiped out New Orleans.
Which I'm very appreciative of because our favorite cheap vacation spot is there.

Although I believe in Christian/Judeo ethics, I'm really getting to where I despise
religion in general. Yes, I know that's a contradiction, but it has been the cause of so many unnecessary carnage...all in the name of something that may not even be real.
Here's a thought for all you who are going to hammer me or try to save me. I need NO pope or moses or mohammed or buddha to tell me "do unto others". Not a single person on this planet knows who is the real god/entity behind this incomprehensible universe. And, please don't quote me writings by men who thought the world was flat at the time.
I, as a human being, have what's called compassion, sympathy, and empathy. It exists in every person, from the pope down to the lowliest amazon tribal member, more or less according to culture and upbringing. Yeah, I sound like a hippy - sue me. I'm just sick of religion - the latest being Islam.

“Much more objectionable were his comments about forced abortion in China. Pat didnt have a problem with it because China is overpopulated.”
Really? That is unreal. Can you provide me with a source please? Thanks!

Well, hopefully they won’t wish someone to die so their ideology won’t be sullied

Maybe Pat’s on to something. Maybe the Founding Fathers made a similar pact and 200 years later America is going to Hell in a hand basket.

Why hasn't God struck down America for abortion? That's a work in-progress.

Why hasn't God struck down America for abortion? It's not wise to tempt God.

That equates to, “a devil behind every bush”, kind of Christian theology, which is to say that God meets out punishment on the evil and blessings on the righteous. If that is so then why do bad things happen to good people, even righteous people, even people that are worshipers of God. On the other hand, there are those who are suffering right now that are blaming God, saying, “God why did you let this happen, if you're God you could have stopped it!”. Attempts to explain the inexplicable are useless, only compassion can and should speak here. When nature's calamity strikes, keep your mouth zipped and see what you can do to help.

It just so happens that I was already scheduled (before the Haiti earthquake) to speak on the radio
TODAY, at 5:00 Central, concerning Pat Robertson's "prophecies." You can listen live by going here:

Yes he does. Problem is, this moron typifies what the MSM and the left's stereotype of Christianity is.
Roberston needs to STFU.

So even the little children who got slowly crushed under the debris must have made a pact with the devil.....and some wonder why the world hates televangelists.Something tells me you're not familiar with the plagues Moses brought upon Egypt. Go complain to God about killing the first born, since they were all "innocent".

Tonight at our church we're having a canned goods/blood drive and a prayer service for the Haitians. I assure you no one is going to try to explain Haiti's plight with voodoo/Satanism. Blessings!
Good people do good work despite the beliefs of the people in need, and particularly in spite of the beliefs "attributed" to the people in need.
Apparently, the Arch bishop's body has been located, because he has been reported as "dead," so he is not there to offer his services to his flock.
I don't want to start any arguments here, but I have been there and a good deal of the voo-doo was tourist orientated. Yes, it exists and there are sacrifices and blood letting that are founded in ignorant cultures, but Haiti's poverty is rooted in corruption and Communism. They are a decidedly ignorant and illiterate people.
Again, God bless you and your Church.
